TERA LV60 Guide

Found this "Guide" which i found very useful.

So, you just hit 60. By now you've probably asked yourself, "What the hell am I going to do now?". There is a lot of advice available, some of it awful, some it isn't. This thread is for you brand new 60s, from the perspective of a launch veteran as well as a returning 60. Really it's the best of both worlds in terms of things that people already knew about, mixed in with all the new TERA: Rising content that we've been given. For convenience I've broken the guide down into sections, it turned out to be quite long because there is a lot of information you should know about. Unfortunately it took me awhile to write this, because the more I wrote, the more I realized needed to be included in order for this guide to be as complete as possible.

KTERA to introduce 20 vs 20 battlefield and pirate wear

By: Dododoro in TERA: The Exiled Realm of Arboreaposted at Apr 19, 2013 3:02 pm

KTERA has unleashed a new trailer of the promised

20 vs 20 battlefield that was to be released last year

with the queen of argon content, but due to the F2P conversion

it was pushed back, now it's finally arrived!

The goal is simple, 1 team to destroy the heavily guarded tower, the other to be resolute and defend it at all costs within the time limit. Controlling tanks, cannons and more, everything goes! From what I read, all players level 30 and above will be able to enter, and bumped up to level 60 for this PvP map.

After the awesome food-themed costumes update, this time round pirate fashion gets the nod.

Too bad there ain’t any seafaring features in TERA otherwise these fashions would

make the game a little more fun.

TERA's pets need a loving home April 11th! (Sorry, no "Darling" pet)

Fans of TERA your prayers have been answered!

En Masse Entertainment  has made the announcement that

pets are to be released April 11th this week.

Pet enthusiasts will be able to adopt as many as these little fellas as they

want, but only one may follow you at a time, and in a world full of Big Ass Monsters

these poor things can't defend themselves and need a loving hand to take care of them.

(And protect them)

In return, they'll... collect loot for you. (yep)

Pets can be purchased from the cash shop (Valkyon Outfitters).

And for every pet adopted (Until Monday the 15th), you get a free bag of pet food.

PS: The "Darling" pet has been removed from the group because it may encourage pedophilia.

"Darling" was also a pet shop summon before pet shops w

TERA Online, 3 weeks after going F2P – Ranting Review.

By: Pelagato in TERA: The Exiled Realm of Arboreaposted at Feb 25, 2013 9:49 am

TERA Online was re-released as a F2P title around 3 weeks ago, adding new servers and a patch with some new content. As a new player, the F2P model was the main event. I do enjoy new content and shinnies in my favorite games but considering that I am new in this game, adding more stuff in my first day is not going to feel like something new was added because the whole game is new to me. Or at least, it was new when I first got it… 3 weeks ago…

So here is the thing, after playing the game for so many hours and leveling up so many levels, I have to stop playing it on a regular basis. Don’t get me wrong, the game is fun but after running on the tread-mill for several days… I mean, playing the game for several days, I am tire of it.

You see, this is not about the time invested in the game, is about the quality of the time, what you do in the game to have fun. TERA Online is a fun game to play but it wears out very quickly.

Here is my small list about what I think are the flaws of this game.

More TERA - Ostgarath FPS issues... Rant...

By: Pelagato in TERA: The Exiled Realm of Arboreaposted at Feb 12, 2013 6:16 pm

Hey peeps, lets get right into it...

What the heck is going on in the 'Ostgarath' region...? The frame rate is not what it used to be in other places and the GPUs are not getting a big load anyways... After doing some research, I found some interesting information about the game threading and how it works on the processor.

Take a look at the picture, GPU usage is not exactly that high but the frame rate doesn't go up... (GPU usage is around 18%, the frame rate is around 26...)

Of course, we all know that TERA is not about the GPU, the secret here is the CPU... So after killing a few mobs and so on, I open up the task manager... Played an aditional minute around the place (populating the data) and then I Alt+Tab...

The results are kinda strange... 1 core is all the way up!!! The other ones, not so much... I tried playing with the CPU affinity but all of the cores are selected under the TERA.exe client...

As you can see, I have one of those Ivy Bridge processors, they are not exactly a to

TERA - Mystics going insane...

Hey peeps, today I was playing TERA, because the game so far is kinda cool to play and I am enjoying it a lot when something really odd happened in the main city... A bunch of mystics are flooding the city floor with Health and Mana orbs...! I am not kidding, it looks like someone was having some fun by spamming those things around the place.

Is that the new way to mess around the game and troll some other players in the city, lag the hell out of the place by adding all those things that no one needs...? After all, whats the point of dropping those things in Velika...?

I know that someone is probably laughing like a maniac and having some fun doing this, I only hope that all the trolls in the chat channels start doing this and leave the Area and Global channels alone. We are going to have a laggy city but troll-less communication. Sounds like a fair trade.

What is he thinking...?

Right now, my concern level about this is very low, but its kinda curious to find someone spamming those circu

TERA F2P – The first 2 days… Impressions…

TERA (The Exiled Realm of Arborea), is now a F2P title, so you can download the game and get into it right away. I understand that there is a bunch of complains about this game and a lot of people hate it, but as a F2P title, it’s a whole different thing because the freebie component is actually good, it have some limitations but at least is playable, not like SWTOR and its P2G business model and at least they are not taking away the hotbars!

Something that I have to point out is that ‘TERA: Rising’ is the original TERA, the new name is a marketing move. TERA Rising is like saying… Hey…! Our game is free, check it out.

TERA, as a F2P title, is basically the same thing as before, the main difference is that now you can play it for free, so get ready for some pew pew, action combat, butts, chicken breasts and the usual sexy feeling of TERA, characters showing up skin and apparently in the world of TERA, loom is some sort of luxurious resource.  I hope you guys know what I mean by that
