TERA seems to host a great variety of events and, this time, En Masse decided to add some Hip-Hop themed items to its store.
There are plenty of apparel for the races of TERA to choose from, including snapback hats, bucket hats, a Boom Box and much more. The publisher also posted an awesome trailer for this event, which you guys should really check out. The feedback for the trailer seems less positive than the event and some of the players believe this does not match TERA's universe. But you can all decide that for yourselves so let's watch the TERA: Hip-Hop trailer.
That wasn't so bad, right? It is, of course, surprising that the publisher decided to add such a modern theme to its fantasy MMORPG but this is not the first time we see such a decision, as Aion has had a quite similar event

As recently revealed, the next in line class that was added to Tera is the Elin Ninja. But was this a logical decision to make?
It still seems quite silly that developers can’t get rid of this gender and race locked attitude, and the fact that the next class is once again Elin-only, like the Reaper, is rather frustrating. But the major issue is probably not that it is limited to a single race, but the nature of the class itself.
Tera is an MMORPG that luckily still has fixed roles. This means that there is an actual dedicated healer class, which is the Priest, but one might begin to wonder why the developers would not want to add some diversity to the roles. There are plenty of DPS classes as well as tanks, but the Priest is mostly on its own since the Mystic class is more of a support one
Tera will be releasing their storm season update on the 20th that comes with 2 nice additions, both of which I'm quite looking forward to as one of those is a completely re-worked nexus that will actually reward the active players inside and it also gives objectives as opposed to just slaughtering fairly weak mobs that I don't think ever gained a proper buff as the gear item level increased, the other is an introduction of a "Mentor" like system that rewards both the mentor and mentee and encourages active play between the two.
The first will be the return of the nexus but it is now called the "Dreamstorm" and works quite differently to how the original nexus does, the main things are that it is no longer the first 100 players to accept the quest inside the nexus as it is now the f
So this is kind of something that's been on my mind for a while, though with Teras most recent patch it has just got to me to a point where I just said to my self "Why bother?".
With every patch that Tera has had for end game it has pretty much reset your progression back to square one. I played Tera originally for the first 2 months on release or so until I basically stopped playing due to the lack of content and any kind of proper PvP activities outside of the pointless GvGs. I came back to Tera as soon as it went Free2Play and have been casually playing it and gearing up with every patch that came into the game, I was enjoying more than now I think mainly for the reason that it felt fresh and new to some degree, obviously because I hadn't played it since its early P2P stage
I wanted to pick this class up. Because I never played all the way through in Tera. This seems like a good time to start. Basically the gunner is very fun. You have a lot of movement control and burst. All of the skills seem like they were thought out. But I am a little weary how this class works with the other classes.
Also remember that right now is double Xp until early June. So why not give this game a try? It's freetoplay and increased leveling with a new class. Tera's combat has always been one of the better systems out there.
Other events are going on right now as well. Two events actually lead you to free mounts. You also get a free mount right now for leveling. And you get gear making life easier to help you level faster. I know some people don't like their hands held. But this time I'm taking that help. Because I want to give the game a valid chance. So give it a whirl if you're looking for something else to play. Main page link is the first on the top.

The world of TERA is a big place — and En Masse wants you and your friends to experience as much of it as possible. That’s why they're offering a free, permanent level 58 character for all new and existing accounts.
The Level Up Test Event offers a great chance to bring a new or experienced MMO friend into TERA so you can group up and start adventuring together immediately. It’s also a great opportunity to try your hand at a new class without having to start from scratch.
This event is for a limited time only. If the test is successful, we will use the feedback to further improve your TERA experience going forward.
Here are the guidelines on getting your level 58:
• New characters created between Thursday, September 19 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and Sunday, September 22
The top 5 things I really like about TERA are as follows:
1. Action Style Combat
This is pretty much a given for the best thing about TERA. The action style combat puts skill directly into the hands of the player. Everything that you do, wether it be a failure or success, entirely depends on your timing, your positioning and most especially your awareness. Once you have learned the moves of all the different NPCs in the game, you can successfully solo any of the content. The only frustration I've had with TERA's combat is during PvP. It's difficult if you miss any of your skills and considering just how much other players move around in comparison to NPCs, you're likely to miss often. Even more importantly, you have to know what target to focus on and when to save your most val
The top 5 things I most dislike about TERA are as follows:
1. You need my help?
This is the top of my list, for personal reasons. My own pet peeve you could say. I really dislike the fact that not only is this an annoying question in and of itself, but that it is spammed on certain NPCs. I could avoid this phrase by turning off my sound, though why should I be forced to? It's obvious to me at this point in time that the developers are going to keep this NPC phrase in the game simply because they love to troll players. When I first started to play TERA, myself and many others, have complained about this ridiculous phrase. Why is it ridiculous? Well, it is obvious that the NPCs aren't helping the player. Instead the player is forced to help NPCs with little to no gratitude shown for our
Hello MMOsiters its DrKonji again with a review of a MMO! This time the MMO in question is none other than TERA Online aka Tera Rising.
As some of you have seen TERA went free to play and expected it to be something that wasnt much of a shock. I happen to actually be a individual who bought the game before it went free to play, I can say now Im impressed with the improvements made versus when I played it in the p2p days.
Well from personal expereince the old days of TERA were...lets face it...it was HORRIBLE!!! I loved the game because of the graphics and high elf and castanic females “cough” but I really loved the game as much as I hated it for many reasons. In the older days of Tera Online the instance matching system was very horrible for players who took on DPS roles. Questing and l
So, you just hit 60. By now you've probably asked yourself, "What the hell am I going to do now?". There is a lot of advice available, some of it awful, some it isn't. This thread is for you brand new 60s, from the perspective of a launch veteran as well as a returning 60. Really it's the best of both worlds in terms of things that people already knew about, mixed in with all the new TERA: Rising content that we've been given. For convenience I've broken the guide down into sections, it turned out to be quite long because there is a lot of information you should know about. Unfortunately it took me awhile to write this, because the more I wrote, the more I realized needed to be included in order for this guide to be as complete as possible.
I. Making money
II. Which dailies should I focus on?
IV. Sleeper Gear vs. Keeper Gear
VI. Gearing for PvP
VIII. Preparing yourself for Hard Modes
