Nintendo says No! No! To youtube monetize system.

Hey peeps, it looks like Nintendo is going to do something that is not so cool at the eyes of a lot of people in youtube, they are going to claim all the Nintendo games profits and the video makers are going to get nothing! The thing is that the copyright laws are on their side, so there isnt much we can do about it at all.

I know that this is going to be an outcry and some players are going to start trashing Nintendo and saying that they are against free media and against free speech. The thing is that we can post videos about Nintendo games but we cant get money out of them. So there is no reason to release videos about those games unless you want to have some fun making them.

On the other hand, some other people are at the side of Nintendo, maybe I am one of them, who knows... The pro Nintendo move against monetization are pointing out that the games are made by Nintendo and that adding a small voice over made by you, talking about the game, doesn't make it yours because you don

Hey peeps, I am having some issues in the real world, that is why I am not around here that much in the recent days... The thing is that one of those things going on in the real world is SimCity 5, also known as SimCity 2013 or just SimCity, like the original one released in 1989 lol!

The thing is that I am enjoying that game, is really fun to play, but as a whole, its lacking a bunch of stuff, if you are wondering what is missing in the game... Well, you have to play SimCity 3000 and SimCity 4... Then you will know what is missing in the game.

Regardless of the issues, the game can be fun if you can overlook the issues. Unfortunately, not everyone can ignore the problems in the game!!! The maps can be small, there is some serious problems in some mechanics, there is some design flaws and the servers are very unstable, not to mention its hateful DRM!!!!

So here is the deal!!!

EA feels bad about it!!! Because of that, they are going to give you a free game!!! I mean, Another free gam

3 MMOs generations? Do we have 3 of them already…?

Hey peeps, do you guys think that the mmo market already have 3 generations…? Each one of them with its special place in the history books of gaming…? or, are you more classic and believe that we only have the old school mmos, pre-2004 and the ones released in 2004 and beyond...?

This is not about graphics... ok...

I have to be honest, sometimes I do feel that we do have 3 generations because we have 3 kinds of mmos, or at least in general we have 3 basic design approaches, Sandbox, Standard and GW2 Hearts...

As far as I can remember, the first one is the one involving the sandboxes, freedom to do stuff in the game world and mess with it, games like Ultima, EVE, Pre-CU Galaxies (RIP), Perpetuum and a few others are in the first group of mmos. I know that they are old games, but in general, the first generation is old!

That probably explains why the old school sandbox fans are always complaining, we don’t get those games anymore, or at least we don’t get them on a regular basis. Some playe

Razer Game Booster (Beta) - Review

Razer Game Booster is one of those applications made for gamers, what this free tool does is simple, optimize your computer and give you better gaming performance, at least that is what it does in theory. The good news is that unlike other gamer tools, this one does something for real, other than just messing with your in-game settings.

The most basic concept behind this tool is that you launch your games from the Razer Game Booster and the program optimizes your computer by shutting down unnecessary processes, services and cleaning up your ram, not to mention that your power profile is going to be set to high performance while you play the game, no more power savings while you play your games.

At the same time, this tool will tweak your registry and a few other things in your computer, like defragmenting a game directly and take down some services that you don’t need for gaming. I will dare to say that Razer Game Booster is one of the best tools for gamers around the place if you are no

GeForce Experience Beta - Review

GeForce Experience (Beta) is a new tool made by nvidia. In theory, this tool should be able to optimize your games and enhance your gaming experience. The reality is a different thing all around.

When I first downloaded this tool, I was expecting something very useful and flexible like Steam with steroids, tons of tweaks like the old school RivaTuner and a lot of useful gadgets for me to tinker with. Unfortunately, the tool does so little and it can be very annoying sometimes.

The tool do two basic things, update your video drivers and optimize your settings.  That’s it!!! What else can I do with this tool…?

Updating my video drivers is not so difficult, as a matter of fact, the nvidia drivers suite have its own updater, this feature is redundant and unnecessary, not to mention that is very lacking because I have to update the rest of my drivers manually.  What is the point of the nvidia driver updater anyways, it barely does what is supposed to be doing…

The other feature is the

Windows 8 and Gaming... Synopsis

Windows 8 is the latest Operating System made by Microsoft, the new system is elegant and sleek, but certain key features are different now. As a matter of fact, it is so different that you are probably going to have a hard time finding out how to do stuff.

It’s a very controversial Windows version, some people love it and some others hate it. Valve hates Windows 8, but other customers love the new Interface. Some others are complaining about the bugs and the ability of the new OS to cripple your computer from time to time. The thing is that we all know the drama behind Windows 8, we already have way too much of it. So the real question is…

Is ‘Windows 8’ a good Operating System for gaming…??????

When I look at something in the computer world, I look at 3 special things, Compatibility, Performance and Stability. Those are the 3 key aspects that I am going to talk about. I am going to skip the features because as gamers, our main feature is always there, DirectX and Windows as a whole.

2012 is gone, Synopsis...

2012 is gone!!! The gaming history books keep getting bigger and our list of games is a bit larger. A lot of things happened in 2012, some of them are important and some others are not. So I am only going to write down in this piece of paper the ones that I believe are the important ones.

The Secret World was released in July 3, after years of development, the classless game is out. The game was a bit controversial and received mixed reviews. Some people praised its uniqueness and some others bashed the sterile feeling of the game in some aspects.

In December, the subscription fee was eliminated, turning the game into some sort of B2P game with a cash shop and premium services.

SWTOR takes the F2P route… After so much drama around this game and all the population problems, the game finally takes the F2P route. Unfortunately it was seen by some people as some sort of cheap trick because the limitations in the free components are way too much.

Some people believe that SWTOR is a P2P g

Free Shooters - The way of the future?

MMOFPS... The new kind of free shooter games are starting to flood the market, I remember when Combat Arms was released a few years ago, it was for the most part the only quality free shooter around. I know that it was full of cheaters but that is not the point, cheaters are everywhere and because of that, I rather focus this blog entry into the quality of the current free shooters in the market.

Right now, the amount of shooters in the market is not so low anymore, we have plenty of free shooters but only a handful of those are worth playing. I never had the chance to play them all, but I play some of them right now and I also played some other free shooters...

So here is my list of the free shooters that are worth playing. If you think that another free shooter or MMOFPS should be added into the list, let me know, I see what I can do with another extra game in my list of installed games.

Blacklight Retribution

BLR is one of those shooters that are really worth playing, the game ha

More hackers stealing our stuff!!! (playspan.com)

Hey peeps, yesterday I received an email from Gamersfirst.com telling me that Playspan.com was hacked. Those two companies are not related but the fact is that I got the friggin email, telling me that playspan.com (one of the many ETC codes distributors) was hacked!!!!

I am not sure if what I saw is true or false but the email looks very neat and they are not asking for information or anything, they simply want people to take some precautions by changing their gamersfirst account password.

It looks like playspan.com is another place in the internet that is not so safe anymore.... Nothing is safe on earth!!! The best thing you can do is have a very long password and make sure that every account you have use a different password. I am not going crazy or insane, security is becoming a new issue.

So many companies keep getting hacked, probably because an enrage employee help the hackers or the company security is the ultimate junk in the universe... Who knows...!!!

I am sure abou

Zynga countersues EA!!!!!

Hey guys, some of you probably remember that a while ago Electronic Arts filled a friggin lawsuit against Zynga, everything had something to do with 2 games, The Sims Social and The Ville... It looks like the whole lawsuit went nowhere, now the indie developer Zynga is taking the aggressive stance here, they are filling a counter lawsuit against EA!!!!

From what I heard the original lawsuit was baseless and frivolous, not to mention that Zynga claimed that EA is simply pulling some sort of unfair business practice. I am glad that EA didnt won the first lawsuit, or at least it looks like they didnt because in the world of gaming, copy-catting is very common, if from now on copying someone else ideas is going to be prosecutable... Then what is going to happen to the industry as a whole??? No more games because you get sued if you make a game???? lol!!!!

Another key element that I notice is that some EA employees drop their jobs in EA and Zynga offer them a job, if they just walked awa
