From the official NA information about this class called “Troubadour” (Bard in Korea) we know that:The Troubadour uses magical melodies and songs to heal group members, and weaken or attack enemies.Though Troubadours have healing powers, they’re not just support! They could be a real force in PvP…Troubadour can be compared to a cross between cleric and spiritmaster.
The class’s “skill tempo” isn’t fast, and though Troubadours are (currently) not a difficult class to play,
they can be very adaptable to the needs of the group.Troubadours wear cloth armor.
NCKorea has revealed a video showing just what the maestro can do, from hitting
monsters that emit music with every strike of her bow, to summoning horse-like apparitions.

1 of the 3 new upcoming classes for NCsoft’s Aion version 4.0, the Shooting Star class got its first preview trailer earlier. This made me realize why Blade & Soul’s new class isn’t a gunner-type, but rather a melee one. NCsoft will be missing from G*Star 2012, with the focus probably on Aion 4.0 and expanding Blade & Soul globally.
As mentioned, there are 2 types of weapons for the Shooting Star class, with the pistol being the fast weapon with lower damage, and the cannon being the power damage dealer minus the speed.
Take a look at the trailer below.

In 4.0 news, the 2 weapon types for the Shooting Star class was introduced, with the pistol being the fast weapon with lower damage, and the cannon being the power damage dealer minus the speed.
Now MMO Culture has published a couple of concept drawings showing off one of the classes, a black-clad gunslinger complete with a fedora, a duster, and a pair of pistols. The images are taken from a Korean dev blog and as is typical with Aion, the updates will go live on the game's Korean servers first before slowly making their way west.
If this new Gunner class (loosely translated as Shooting Star from the dev blog) is any indication, though, the updates will be well worth the wait. Head past the break for the images, then click through to
A few days ago, I friggin downloaded 'Aion' once again, I was looking to have a little fun, not to mention that I had some sort of interest in the player housing and the so call new features… lol!
I played the first few hours with no problems but after a while I notice that the same old issues and shortcomings are there and it looks like they are not going to go away at all…
The first thing that really got over my head was the grind… That’s right!!! The grind is there!!! I know that is not as bad as it used to be but grind is grind!!! Any amount of grinding is bad… I don’t want to be smashed in my head! Not even once!!!!!!
When I first left the game, my character was level 49, it took me around 3 days of self-punishment to get it all the way up to 50 and finally get into Balaurea… The pro

In case you didn't already know, the North American version of Aion (hosted by NCsoft) will be going Free 2 Play from next week! Best of all, this isn't the typical P2P to F2P transition - Aion will be adopting a similar change as Lineage 2. Be ready for Aion 3.0 Truly Free!
So what kind of stuff can you expect? I've been playing the game's free trial for a couple weeks now and I have to say I am very pleased. The graphics are great, the client is stable, good music and fun gameplay. The only thing that could make the game better would be more content and players and that is exactly what we can expect on April 11th.
Some of the things in 3.0 that players are excited about:
* Mounts - one of Aion's biggest draw is the flight system - all players have wings which can appear different
Along with the long awaited launch of 3.0 Aion will be going free to play. Aion's free to play will be the same model as Lineage II (some may wonder if that means Aion will now just be filled with bots *cough*).
Expect to see the new instances called Sky Fortresses in Aion 3.0. This is a solo instance developed to help players level faster with easy gameplay and good rewards. Also it looks stunningly beautiful, which is always a bonus.
Aion 3.0 will also features the newly added mounts and flying mounts (so if you run out of time flying you still have your flying mount to fly you around, although that somehow seems to defeat the whole point of even having to have wings, at least from my point of view).
I won't spam you with the many other pictures of the new mounts, but it looks
I have wanted to play Aion ever since it came out in 2009. Unfortunately at that time I was in college with no money to play a P2P game. But now the economy has changed. Most MMOs are going the Free to Play route, even huge AAA quality titles like WoW and Aion.
Aion is following the path taken by another ncsoft game - Lineage 2. L2 started their 'Truly Free' mode where players had access to all the game's content without having to pay a cent. The plan was to support the game with micro-transactions like traditional f2p games do. It turned out to be a huge success.
I remember logging in to Lineage 2 to find the starting room filled to capacity with new players. The lag was crazy and you had to compete with other players just to be able to complete quests. I played it for a while,
As some of you may know Aion went F2P in Europe a couple months back. This was met with mixed feelings from the community, and now as Aion is set to go F2P in the NA, I'm quite curious about other people's feeling towards the switch of payment models. I personally can't help but feel that it's going in the wrong direction. F2P seems like a last resort to me, and also a way to leech as much money off the players as possible.
I mean come on and look at how cash shops work. You got your $10-20 dollar mounts, and then your nice little exp boosts, and all the sudden you're talking about $20-30 dollars a month. Compare that to the P2P model, which is $15 dollars a month and you're talking about a huge switch in how much a player is paying for a game (and a so called "fre
