You can check the description in the video on how I was able to set it up. And be sure to follow every step correctly. It will be easier on you to allow chrome to translate pages for you. Consider this a sneak peak early on what to expect from Sega's Reup on the Phantasy Star franchise. For the most part the game is fun for what it is. Don't go into this thinking oh my gosh wow killer. It's really not meant to be that. But for everyone who loved the sega series back when. It's nice to see and experience this game now.

CONGRATULATIONS PSO2!

MMOCulture reports

SEGA Japan today announced Phantasy Star Online 2 obtaining its 1 millionth account on 1st October 2012, which took just around 3 months after launch to achieve this feat. Personally, I feel this is quite the accomplishment knowing how the MMORPG market in Japan is still in its growing stages compared with other countries.
The 3rd content update since launch, Call of Fatality, will launch tomorrow, adding the much anticipatedsubclass system and many more new maps. The English server is scheduled to launch Spring 2013.

With the recent release of Phantasy Star Online 2 in Japan, Sega has already been talking about heading west with their new game, the date? Well, it isn't set in stone yet, but they're planning on an early 2013 release for the game to both the EU and NA regions. This is good news as it was speculated by fans that it would a) take several years to pass over or b) not come over at all. But since the release is scheduled only a year away, it means you won't have to wait too long for you to play and understand what is being said in game.

The game is for both the PC players and PSVita players alike, it also is the first in the series to go completely free to play, at least in the Japanese version, where all you do is download it and you can pay for things like character slo

SEGA of America, Inc. and SEGA Europe Ltd today announced that free-to-play multiplayer action RPG Phantasy Star Online 2 will be coming to North America and Europe in 2013. For a first look at this new entry in the legendary Phantasy Star series, check out the official Phantasy Star Online 2 teaser site at www.pso2.com.

“Phantasy Star Online was a revolutionary game when it was released, and we want to make sure that its successor in the series is every bit as ambitious,” said Chris Olson, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “We look forward to introducing Phantasy Star Online 2’s unique, easy-to-access multiplayer action to the rest of the world next year!”

“The number one thing we want to provide players in Phantasy Star Online 2 is an adventure that changes every time they log in. Just as great table-top RPG experiences revolve around imaginative and unexpected encounters, we want players to consistently be surprised as they explore dungeons and undertake quests,”

Not sure how many of you are fans of Phantasy Star, but I have been since around the Dreamcast era. As servers have shut down, and even private servers rise, I have still been a fan on the series. Now the latest in the series, which is Phantasy Star Online 2 has made it out of closed beta and Pre-Open Beta, to finally get in the Open Beta stage. The catch? It is in Japan only, so if you want to play it badly enough, you will need to sign up for a Japanese Sega Online ID and download a game you may not be able to read.

People who have played any of the series already know what to expect, but for those of you who are new to the whole Phantasy Star deal, it is an Action RPG which plays in instance/mission based gameplay. It allows you to go through instances with friends

Phantasy Star Online 2

IF you were born in the 90's you'd remember PSO for the SEGA Dreamcast...
The game was one of the first console games to go online but once the Playstation 2 rolled in with Final Fantasy XI years later, (and World of Warcraft following behind) the game was inevitably shut down for the dreamcast (Although PSU was revived for the 360 years later)
Now fast forward 12 years later and 5 months to the announcement of PSO2.

Starting off...
After creating a character in PSO2's deep character creation, I go through the tutorial and storyline, you're apparently part of "ARKS" a class of new recruit in some galactic army. (given

Phantasy star online 2 benchmark and character creator walkthrough

The PSO2 benchmark and character creator were released on April 5th and allow you to pre-make your own character. I think this is a real good opportunity to see the graphics of the game itself as you get a run through the game on the benchmark with the character you created. You do need to save your character again if you want to see them running in the benchmark if you exit the program.

PSO2 is set to release in the Summer of 2012 for Japan, but no release date has been given for the US or EU. Dataminers have found localization files for English and other languages in the test client though (Source). Hopefully Sega of America can be competent this time...

Please note that the screenshots scale the game's graphics down a lot, so the game looks better than the pics! I found that the gam
