With Guild Wars 2 on the horizon of being released to players 16 days from now(this being written on August 09, 2012) or 19 days for those who didn't pre-purchase the question some may have are what's going to happen to Guild Wars?

Has it been finally reduced to dust or is it still a warrior fighting onwards for some attention from players?

As a forewarning me writing this article may sound like a fanboy but that's hard to dissuade readers from this perspective since I've clocked 3018 hours over 84 months. This is insane even to myself. How I obtained my time played information is the simple /age function built into Guild Wars. Nowadays i am starting to see alot more F2P mmo's. To me thats great and all that I dont have to play a monthly fee but seriousily I am kinda shocked to see the quality of the games. For example most F2P games show so many flaws in graphics, story and the overall quality of the game.

To me I stated to see that develoupers of mmo's are starting to get very...extremily lazy to the point they are thinking : "hey dude why work so hard its only free to play no one is really going to play for this". This is why I am annoyed by this because lots of mmo have problems in the fallowing things

1. Graphics

Frist of all I am not saying that everything in the game should be looking as good as gears of war but I do expect some things like:

Monsters should be diffrent than one another. Okay I understand that its hard work making concept art for all monsters but common I do excpect a level 8 wolf to look diffrent than a level 12 evil wolf. Common we have all have seen it.  I also dont like the fact that thesse develoupers are not taking any risks. This might be good on business point of view but to me as independent game develou

Yes, that's right, you saw it first hand.. Guild Wars. It was in June of 2005 when my best friend told me that he was going to buy it for me and demand that I played with him. I was living here in London, England at the time and he was still in the United States (since I originally come from there). He transferred the money for it to me via Western Union and I was on my way to the nearest GAME (video game retailer here in the UK) to pick up my copy. Installation of the game was a breeze, even though it seemed to take ages (it was just my imagination). The previews, articles, and reviews that I read for Guild Wars were incredible, very few people had anything nasty to say about it.
