MoP: Engineering Pet & Mounts
By: Stan D in posted at Aug 23, 2012 12:22 pm - 0

It's been a long time, since our fellow Engineers have gotten a mount to craft, but in Mists of Pandaria, two mounts and a pet have been added:
The Pet: is called Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling and follows in the tradition of Dragonling companions for expansion level. Unlike past dragonling companion, this one is no longer tied to a trinket.
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling can be crafted at Engineering Skill 575.
Two new engineering-themed mounts have been awarded (probably by mistake) to all player's mount tabs on beta realms. Both of them can be sold in the Auction House.
Geosynchronus World Spinner: This is likely the Gnomish counter to Goblin's mount below. Neither of them though currently require either Engineering or is Bind on Pickup, so this mount will be

MoP Jewelcrafting Mounts
By: Stan D in posted at Aug 23, 2012 8:52 am - 0
New panther mounts can be crafted by Jewelcrafters. The patterns require reputation mostly with Order of the Cloud Serpent (from Honored up to Exalted) and 600 Jewelcrafting skill. Patterns itself can be purchased in Valley of Eternal Blossoms.
A Jewelcrafter will be able to craft four different varieties of panther mounts, which can be then combined into a single Jeweled Onyx Panther, that will cost approximately 500,000 gold.
Note that either of these can be sold in the Auction House separately.
Here are the mounts with pictures, one by one:
Sunstone Panther
jade Panther
Ruby Panther
Sapphire Panther
Dawnstone Onyx Pantheris crafted by combining all of the four mounts above, so the price for this one will be cataclysmic. I do not like the model personally, because it's almost the same as the new Recruit-a-Friend mount that replaced the good old rocket.
If this panther is going to become the new Vial of Sands mount is so far unkown, but it sure will be expensiv

MoP In-game Cinematics
By: Stan D in posted at Aug 22, 2012 10:14 am - 0
Many of the new quests, mainly in the Pandaren starting area have their respective cinematic videos to go with them, similar to Wrathgate. Note that many of the videos contain spoilersfrom the Pandaren starting area and such, so view then at your own risk.
HORDE PANDARIA PROLOGUE
ALLIANCE PANDARIA PROLOGUE
SHEN-ZIN SU'S THORN // Pandaren starting area: you find out the whole land is just a giant turtle whose thorn needs to be cured in order to save the lives of all the Pandaren living on it.
BATTLE AT SERPENT'S HEART
Last but not least, WANDERING ISLE DEPARTURE - after you're done with all your quests in the Pandaren starting area and you choose your faction, this video is played. This video has been added only recently to the beta files.

Sevencore – Beta Impressions: So yesterday

Sevencore – Beta Impressions: So yesterday
Sevencore is the latest MMORPG gPotato have released to the general public. It’s a free2play RPG with the tag line “Forces under the reign of yesterday” Yesterday indeed.
Let’s start of by saying that this is a beta impressions review. So 5-10 hours of game play during gPotato’s closed beta. That means it’s 100% based on my opinion as a gamer of 7 years and the time I spent within that game. So let’s jump right in to it!
I decided to play this game with a party of friends so we’d have a full party to clear content with. I lead Genesis Gaming a competitive PvP/completionist guild; so we went at the game with a little bit of speculation and experience. We started the game with the character creation screen which unlike most games of its calibre is pretty customizable but probably for the wrong reasons. I decided to take it apon myself to make a freak of nature that looked like a giraffe, success!
After we had all made our characters

Diablo III: Paragon System Implementation
By: Stan D in posted at Aug 20, 2012 11:39 am - 0

New Patch 1.0.4 feature
Diablo at the moment has lost its spark right after reaching level 60. There's simply nothing to do and farming becomes equal to torture.
Apart from general system changes and other updates that come with 1.0.4, Blizzard thought about how to improve Diablo so they came up with the Paragon System.
Blizzard got really confused about what to do with Magic Find, so they made a blog entry, where they suggested a couple of options on how they would improve the MF%, in order to get feedback from the community. You can view the post here.
Player who aren't satisfied with their gear at level 60 need something to strive for.
Let's face it, the game is not worth playing at 60 right now.
Imagine these scenarios:
You join a group and/or farm for several hou

Mists of Pandaria: Further XP Tweaks and Raid Dummy simulations
By: Stan D in posted at Aug 20, 2012 7:29 am - 0

Earlier, I reported about the 55% increase between levels 85-90. This time, the numbers have been tweaked again to make leveling even faster at lower levels.
Below is a table where you'll find the old value, which is representative of today's experience needed to ding a level in the range displayed below; the second one shows Blizzard's initial XP increase and the third one displays the most up-to-date XP requirements.
A brief overview:
The overall XP requirement from 80-85 has been reduced to speed up leveling for players that haven't reached 85 yet, or for newly created monks. Ranges 80-82 remain unchanged, 82-84 (reduced by 33%), 84-85 (reduced by 50%)
| Level | Old XP Requirement | New XP Requirement | Newest XP Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-9 | Old | Without a change | Remains unchanged |
| 10-39? | Old | ( |

RE: Bioware Explains Day One Downloadable Content
By: Zanpakutou in posted at Aug 19, 2012 4:04 pm - 0
Again, I hate most forms of DLC. The main problem from this article is that they have no actual numbers to base this on. There are not even any estimates so when they say many people go on to purchase online passes and DLC even when buying used copies, how do you even know they buy it? It should not be even possible if you do not know how many copies of DLC you actually sold?

People want DLC because it is content that should have been in the game. There is a difference between "supplemental material" that DLC should be and "stripping down", which DLC is at the moment. Supplemental material is bonus material that expands on the game's original storyline. There are good several good examples of this. My favorite example of this is the Valkyria Chronicles DLC because it expands on the sort of jerks that the regular military is yet it does not hurt the original story in any way becaus

Mega Bloks - World of Warcraft
By: Stan D in posted at Aug 19, 2012 1:05 pm - 0

What many thought was an April Fools, has become reality.
Blizzard has made a blog entry about the upcoming partnership with Mega Bloks, though it was published on the 30th March, so many thought it's just a prank. A few weeks ago, Mega Bloks finally finished the Warcraft "lego" and now you can pre-order various characters, or even Stormwind under Deathwing's attack.
These toys are very similar to Lego.
19 characters and 17 playsets are for grabs over at Mega Bloks so if you like them, you know where to buy :)
Click here to visit their official online shop.
There you can see the pricing, number of pieces and other useful information before making an order.
The Deathwing Assault costs for $99 and is thus far the most expensive in the series.
The Frozen Throne along with Sindragosa
