The Nico Nico Chokaigi 2 event is in full swing at the Makuhari Messe Tokyo and Square Enix is holding a large Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn stage event in collaboration with Windows 8. 

During yesterday’s part of the event livestreamed on Nico Nico quite a few interesting information were revealed as director and producer Naoki Yoshida (disguised as a white-haired miqo’te for the occasion)

General:

Age of Wushu is a F2P Asian style Sandbox, Martial Arts MMO published by Snail Games.

It's currently Open Beta.

The game is set in Ming Dynasty China and there are 4 possible stories to play through, which also determine where you start out.

Character Customisation:

You can customize your face in detail, but you only got 5 traditional hairstyles to chose (and no haircolors or eyecolors)

Graphics:

Model detail and texture quality suggest that the game might have been designed to be more P2P or B2P than the usual 08/15 F2P. Only “bad” textures are rocks that were upscaled way too much and therefore show blurry textures, or the walls of towns, which lack details and are pretty blurry too.

Sound:

Good Ambient sounds and nice BGMs which change depending on the map.

Hey all, so today I took a dive into AeriaGames' newer MMORPG Scarlet Blade. Scarlet Blade is a new MMORPG that features a lot of Bliss I could say. Beautiful ladies in short shorts, or no shorts even; blins(shiny material?).

I don't know what AeriaGames is doing but this is a confounding MMORPG.

When online games first entered the gaming industry, it started out as a Pay to play Business Model. Players would pay or buy from the publisher a fixed amount of time to play the game. As time passed, Free to play models came into the market and somehow dominated it. Games under the Free to play models did not require monthly payments but relied heavily on its in-game cash items that are bought through the game publisher. The key difference between the two are their means of profit. This is what most people would say about Free to play and Pay to play Games. However, there are other differences on both models which you would only notice in-game.

Pay to play was the business model which most if not all the first online games were based on. The main idea of this model was to buy time to play the game. So here we are 5 days from the final patch in the Flame and Frost Trilogy. Has it lived up to everything that you wanted? So what now is the usual phrase we say a lot in gaming?  Well something that has me the most excited in a long time. Is the custom arena system about to be added nice! That will allow us to go solo and finally duel. Even better are you can actually do it with a nice audience for bragging rights? 


Another thing nice is the Living Story actually getting a major instance for use. I look forward to some new content I can figure out. I like being a solo artist so let's see if I can roll this one. I'm not that keen on the back guild flags. I could give it a name but it would get me banned off the net nowadays if I said it. The Quaggan guild race might be fun. One hundred cool points to Arena Net if we DO NOT sound like Quaggan during the race.

People always complain about pay to win and free to play games. Calling them unfair saying you can't compete etc. What if I told you that you can and will. Basically I'm going to teach you how to do it for free. All it will cost you is time and a little effort. You should be able to easily pay for any game online. It's all up to you however and your dedication.

- Grineer Lancers are now deployed with the Grakata assault rifle
