PSPgo - Want to make your Wallet feel a Lot lighter? Buy this beast !

This year Sony is giving the PSP a make over with the PSPgo. Compared to previous models it is smaller, lighter, looks better and comes with a 16 gb hard drive. Sounds pretty awesome right? Probably not once you learn about the price tag and soil your pants.

I own a psp-1000 and when I look at the PSPgo, I would be honest and tell youit looks like a great productbut the price is expensive and there is not much different between the psp-1000 and a PSPgo.

First the PSPgo doesn't have a UMD drive and requires you to buy games online. This is a leap of faith because if you are paying for something virtual, you are expecting the games to be at least 20% cheaper because of the money developers save on producing hardcopy UMD's. Unfortunately there is no difference between digital and hard copy prices on the playstation store so what gives?

Not only that, Sony changed its mind about a UMD conversion kit for current PSP owners and instead is offering them 2 online game downloads (from a selection of 8 games). OH boy. I can't wait to play Buzz beater and some other crap games they offer.

Red Cliff Online Review

Red Cliff is another MMO released by Perfect World Entertainment. If you don't recognize this name, they're the ones responsible for Perfect World, Q-World, Ether Saga, and Jade Dynasty/Celestial Destroyer/Zhu Xian Online. Like all of their previous games, Red Cliff is just another repackaging of another one of their game with different character models and enemies. If you've played them before, its kind of the same as any of the others on the list (except for maybe Ether Saga, I haven't played that one). There are some minor differences, but nothing significant. To me, the best I can characterize this is an updated version of Zhu Xian Online.

The epic Red Cliff movie of 2008 and 2009 has only made this game look worse as well.

Story:

The game is based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms era specifically the Battle of Red Cliffs (Chi Bi) where the small alliance of Sun Quan and Liu Bei managed to defeat Cao Cao's far superior navy thanks to some luck. However, considering what is possible in the game, it is not based on part of the time line at all. Can someone say cheap name cash in?

You registered, downloaded the game and play. You stepped on this virtual world and you hack and slash your foe on the way to the bop bop bop bop bop to the top. Yes you’re right! It’s High School Musical. But did you ask yourself why are you playing or why do you want to be strong? Sounds like the “Purpose Driven Life” in an MMO isn’t it? By human nature we tend to do things for the reason that we want to achieve something. An aim will play a pivotal role to almost everything just like a bullet soaring flying (there are no stars in heaven that we can’t reach, high school musical again!) free until it reaches its target.

At a certain point in living as your character in an online world, every one of us desires to become a “prominent person" in the community. But it’s not east to become one. Not easy there even a case with my brother wherein an insecure gamer who uses a MULE account just to tarnish his reputation. Knowing that we laugh and even bonded for some time in-person. If there’s a will there’s a way in order to become that “something” it will be easier if you laid out your plan as soon as you s

The Real Reason You Don't Like World of Warcraft

I shall say, it is the best article I read today. I'm sure the blogger's point in this article will hurt someone's feeling, well me included, but just like Guidor said: "I think the most important factor is people subconscoiusly hate it (World of Warcraft) because they spend so much time and effort in it, not getting laid, that they have to blame something for their hopeless addiction."

This article is written by mung, Gameriot

I'm sure everyones heard it all before; someone brings up WoW in another MMORPG, on some forums, whatever, and you instantly get replies from 15 raging nerds including the words noob, kid, and easymode, all too eager to tell everyone about how much they loathe WoW.

Now, why do they dislike the game so much? Is it because the game is imbalanced?  Is it because they think it's too easy and not a challenge?  Is it because there isn't enough totally sweet hardcore World PvP for their liking?

No.

It's because WoW forces you to fight fair

I'm sure everyone knows the type i'm talking about, your generic MMORPG zergling that makes up 99% of the population of every game, and consequently is 99% of the Wo

Yesterday my day and a half downloading session for the talk of the town, latest MMORPG addiction ended. This might be the biggest file I’ve ever downloaded ever since I discovered a wonder of the world called the internet. Yes you’re right I’m talking about Aion: The tower of eternity baby! The client itself never fails to make my disk drive cry in dismay. “Aion is a bitch” According to my brother who extracted the installer file without even thinking of cleaning or even backing up externally the “old files” that dwells in my disk drive. If there’s a will there a way; Installed it patched it, played.

Entering Aion is such a sweet sensation. It’s like standing in a flowery meadow for hours waiting for the sun to shine. The picturesque of a landscape filled with trees decorated with pink leaves, floating islands, buildings that stand a top of the cliff and waterfall to complete the scenery. Such a fantazzztic log in screen! This is almost certainly designed to invite and attract player to join in the world behind. What more can you find behind those entry form?

After logging in you will see the terms of agreement reminding pl

CROSS POSTED FROM MY BLOG

Yesterday marks the opening of the Conqueror server also known as Red Cliff’s close beta server. I managed to get myself in front of my trustee computer as earlier as the usual to experience becoming a pugilist in an ancient china world.

Upon clicking the Red Cliff icon that lies somewhere in the slum areas of my desktop, a magnificent scarlet patch launcher appeared before me. It is decorated with a CG illustration of a prominent 3 Kingdom warrior beside him lies a Chinese calligraphy that boastfully flaunts the word “??” (Chi Bi) loosely translated to Scarlet Wall or Red Cliff. Aside from the pleasing oriental eye candy that I stumbled upon, you will also hear an epic warlike themed background music that will definitely resurrects the crouching tiger and hidden dragon that dwells in your inner self. The patcher itself is a complete package for a Chinese themed game isn’t it? Okay pressing start.

    My review on Dragonica Online

I've been playing this game quite a while now and I had fun playing my character magician. Yes, my job there is a magician. So I decided to make a review regarding it. This is my 1st time so I may have made some mistakes about making reviews but I'll improve this as I make more!

You don't expect innovative storytelling were when you start login the game you need to kill already or explore the map already or talk to the NPC before you know what to do or what your character's role is. In Dragonica you expect fairy tales alike. Forces of darkness, once-defeated and regathering power. It's like somewhere, something evil is preparing its return. But that's OK - while the dark forces are gathering power, it gives our hero a chance to go through a series of training montages. And what is an MMO, if not an infinite training montage?

This is the start of it, An evil forces awaken and YOU as a new forces of hero must gather strength to defeat the evil. Yes! It is like you're reading a fairy tale story at the same time you're the Hero. The feeling of while finishing some quest it's like your ending it per chapter. All the scenamatics are done per accomplished missions/quest, a

    The 10 Plagues of MMORPGs

I recently found this “ Top 10 Problems with MMO’s” topic shared by GMTristan.com. This IGN article talks about the factors in MMOs that persistently annoys its players and takes the genre away from potential users.

Either you love them or hate them, here’s my take on the ten plagues of MMOs that should be avoided by the gaming industry in the future, after the jump…

    10. Elves
    elf2fx
Elves are inevitable. Even the Star Trek Online has its own half-breed or hybrid elven form character no other than Mr. Spocks. Banning elves from MMos is racism!

    9. Humans
    goldfarmers01[1]
Gold farmers, hackers, and bots (run by humans) are the ones severely hurting the MMO industry. These  shirtless scumbags must be castrated to prevent them from diluting the gene pool of the human race.

    8. Perverts

    pedobear-stalks-loli-in-video-game[1]

You’d think twice if you think that the world of MMO is safe for your children when they are left home alone by themselves after reading this bizarre article headlined “Proof Paedophiles are using HOME”. Totally disgusting indeed!

    7. No Consequences

    back-to-the-future[1]

I’ve been dreaming of an MMO that can give an exclusive quest for each player  which could trigger an event that affec

WOW Freak-out Kid VS. Tough Grandmother

Here we go, the WOW freak-out kid back again, This time he was arguing with his grandmother, who's been sent over to watch him and his brother for the weekend. Now I really wanted to believe that these videos his brother made are real, but this one's the nail in the coffin for being fake. Try to find out by yourself.
