Hi all! I am back! Today we will dive right back into Guild Wars 2 for a level 40 review. That is half way to end game folks! As of my last review we looked up to level 30 and I was less than impressed with the game. How has the new F2P model changed things? What has changed since last look? Is it worth your time? Let's find out!

Introduction:

I am back after building my new PC. I am running this game on highest specs and graphics and running a great new gaming PC. When I got back online the question was there: What to play? The games I built this machine for are either off line games or waiting for western publishing, so I fired up one of my old review: Guild Wars 2. Perhaps things have changed for the better? Perhaps with a new machine I can appreciate the game more? Well, I downloa

Rage over pricing of Guild Wars 2 Heart of Thorns

Update: In a pre-purchase community address, Arenanet is offering a character slot for all people who bought the game before a certain date, if you pre-order from them. However, the price point remains the same and it seems like they refuse to apparently budge from having an expansion only expansion (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/pre-purchase-community-address/).

Are you a loyal fan of Guild Wars? Are you a veteran of Guild Wars 2? We'll you'll be happy to hear that for the mere price of $49.99, you can not only get access to Guild Wars 2 (Which you already have access to), you also get access to Heart of Thorns! The expansion which we've heard and seen nearly nothing about content wise. Can you buy the expansion separately? Nope. Does it come with a character slot? Nop

Time to bring the action back. It's been a while, and I was waiting for the story to pick back up. This chapter was fun and gave me a lot of clues. I won't spoil what I picked up on. Over all it's a good chapter and a lot of lore everywhere.

Beginning November 4, 2014

The attack on the Pale Tree has spurred the world’s leaders into action and hardened their resolve. As season 2 continues, the races of Tyria are preparing for war against the Elder Dragon Mordremoth.

Making Gold In Guild Wars 2 Virtual Economy

The Guild Wars 2 virtual economy is really as complex and fascinating as real life economy and that we can easily see a few of the same habits as on real marketplaces and apply theses to maximise our profits.

John Cruz makes this infographic demonstrating an overview from the economy in Guild Wars 2 throughout one Beta Weekend. Although not obtained from the live game, we are able to still see some trends and discover cooking techniques within our benefit.

If this involves generating money trough game-play, nearly 1 / 3 of all of the gold originates from rewards. Half of all of the gold originates from dynamic occasions and famous hearts. You're going to get nearly eighty percent of your gold by performing these three things. Once we know, grinding mobs isn't the most effective method of getting cheap gw2 gold which is symbolized here nicely by its low number of only 12%.

The professions chart won't represent the live distribution, because this was obtained from a beta weekend, anContinue Reading

Making Money In Guild Wars 2

I’ve noticed a lot of complaints about people lacking money and not really knowing how to make it while leveling. This guide is mainly for people that are leveling up and fresh to the game, not so much for 80’s, but some things do apply.

I’m being very crude here, but I mean no disrespect to you or anyone else having the same issue. These are the things I’ve learned. Here are some of my tips to getting and keeping guild wars 2 gold.

#1. Suck less, die less.
The less you die the less you have to repair. (I agree that the repair cost is extremely high at max level it seems.) Spend more time learning your character, how to avoid deaths, and how to kill as many things at once as you can.

#2. Know the areas.
If you’re going to begin farming, do some research on where the best places to farm are. Feel around the zone for a while, learn the types of mobs you’ll be fighting, and move your skills around to best suit those. Again, refer to rule #1.

#3. Use the Mystic Forge Sparingly

Best Way To Make Gold Without A Party In Guild Wars 2

By: sonyaany123 posted at Aug 19, 2014 1:24 am

I’ve farmed dungeons to the point where I can’t take it anymore. I run them with my guild maybe 3 days a week but thats it. So don’t suggest regular dungeon running.I don’t have the skills nor the willingness to acquire what I need to power trade. I hate WvW and I’ve given up on tPvP.

I can’t reliably solo Arah P2 right now. I don’t have any problems up to Brie but if I don’t execute it well enough the terminal gets destroyed. Furthermore making a single mistake at Lupi means death, getting 25 stacks, running etc. so the whole selling Arah thing doesn’t seem like something I can consistently pull of. Plus, I might always get kicked from my own instance.

So… what would be the next best thing to do for gold/hour? Farm Cursed Shore? Southsun Cove? As long as I can do it on my own and it doesnt require the 45 minute time investment that Arah P2 is on my thief for a perfect run (!) which can easily go into the 1.5h if I really mess up.

I agree with Lambent on Cursed Shore being a good place foContinue Reading
