By: Hàn Thiên Hải posted at Mar 28, 2017 7:55 am

Square Enix has announced 14-day limitation on the Free Trial of Final Fantasy XIV Online has been removed and the adventure can continue for as long as you want.

Free trial players are now able to access all content up to level 35 without any clock ticking the play time away. Adventurers can try out awesome jobs, test their skills on the first 10 levels of the Deep Dungeon and indulge in all the activities the Gold Saucer has to offer, such as Chocobo Racing.

The time restriction has been removed from all free trial accounts – even the expired accounts will be brought back to life, allowing players to continue their previous adventures. If you tried the free trial before but time flew by too fast, you can come back and pick up exactly where you left off with the same character.

Final Fantasy XIV’s Xbox Release is a Great Idea

By: DanielCsaki posted at Jun 17, 2016 12:46 pm

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV MMORPG is one of those games that managed to maintain a pleasing player base both in size and in nature.

Final Fantasy XIV has one of the best communities that I have encountered and it is much harder to spot the usual toxicity that is not uncommon nowadays. Polygon recently revealed that Microsoft has approached Square Enix about bringing their game to Xbox One consoles.

Gamers who are loyal to the Xbox One must be rather pleased with this idea but they are not the only ones. Final Fantasy XIV received a really well-optimized PS4 version and it would most likely work well on the Xbox One as well.

Expanding the game on to more platforms would probably result in an even bigger player base than what the game already has. As Square Enix keeps on pleasing play

Final Fantasy XIV Teams Up With Amazon

By: DanielCsaki posted at Jun 16, 2016 12:51 am

If you still didn't get your own, cute and fat Chocobo mount in Final Fantasy XIV, then this is the right time to do so. With only $19.99 you can get the mentioned mount, maid and butler atire, Crag and Inferno mask, and 99x temporary wings for your character. If you already have the code, submit it here.

Summer DLC Campaign In-Game Items

All that is available on Amazon until June 27th, so be fast or you'll end up empty-handed. This new cross-promotional deal regards Amazon only, so resellers won't count if you want to get proper code.

That is quite the news because this limits your purchase options quite a bit. Additionally, this is only available for North American accounts, which will definitely make some European players sad, but it is what it is.

We hope that in the near futur

FFXIV: Beast Tribe and Side Story Quests Revealed

By: DanielCsaki posted at May 23, 2016 12:23 pm

Square Enix has just released a rather informative post that discusses the upcoming content in Patch 3.3.
Firstly, the post reveals the Moogle Beast Tribe quests in which we are taken to Zenith, the dusty ruins in the Churning Mists that is described as a "testament to the bond between man and dragon,"  and a place that used to serve as a sanctuary. The Moogles, who now reside in the area would be more than delighted to see Zenith restored to its original state. Throughout these quests you will be doing various tasks like crafting, completing daily quests  and farming reputation. These will unlock nifty things that can be purchased, like mounts and minions.

The Anima Weapon Story Quest also gets mentioned in the post and Square Enix revealed, "Determined to hasten the anima'Continue Reading

FFXIV Becomes The Second Most Popular MMORPG With 5 Million Subs

By: Dododoro posted at Jul 05, 2015 9:29 pm

At Japan Expo, producer Naoki Yoshida gave the run downof FFXIV's subscriber base, with rather impressing numbers. Not including trial accounts or China's subscriber baseFinal Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn (Now Heavensward) has become the 2nd mostpopular subscription based MMORPG behind World of Warcraft. The numbers come from only those who have at one time or another
paid the $12.99/$14.99 monthly fee making it a substantial feat.

In it's year and 9 months of service so far, FFXIV has had very impressive feats.
From it's inevitable shutdown in 2010, to being re-made and being the successful MMORPG
that it is today, no one can deny that the game has come a long way.

If FFXIV continues down the road, it just may beat World of Warcraft one day.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward (Patch 3.01 - Alexander) Review

By: Zanpakutou posted at Jun 22, 2015 10:01 am

This is more or less a continuation of my previous review on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. I will leave out some of the things I mentioned in the other article, but focus on the expansion and the changes made since patch 2.55. As of writing this review, I have only finished the story mode. Again, I primarily play as a Monk and this is the class I will follow the story on.

NOTE: To see the images in their original size, copy and paste the image link to your URL.

EDIT: Updated with some information about Alexander raid

The story continues from where A Realm Reborn left off in the final story mission "Before the Fall." The story continues as the Warrior of Light and Alphinaud flee north to establish the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Howe
