Most of my gaming time is spent on Fallen Earth. This game has captured a lot of my attention and i much enjoy being in world pvp mode. I am not yet faction aligned but I intend to join Travelers faction when i venture in to sector 2. Right now on FE I have three active characters and few friends who play. what I see on FE is more people around my level to play with and practice pvp in Duels and world PVP. I have a commanders Tier Account so anyone I team with enjoys similar benefits as myself. I also still have one open character slot for anyone intending to join FE if someone reads this and joins i will be happy make Armour and weapons and a new character to use for the game. My character names are listed on My Games and my Steam name is snakebite1027 http://steamcommunity.com/id/OverlordKaidan

So it's been about 5 months since I last entered the wasteland, and let me say what a good feeling I get logging back in. I'm not entirely sure why I hadn't played in so long. Oh well, now I'm back and having a blast. So unless this december a real apocalypse happens I don't see any reason why I wont still be playing this wonderful game for years to come.
For anyone who hasn't played Fallen Earth, I highly recommend it. Sandbox at it's core, FE offers a variety of gameplay for many different players. Anything from an extremely extensive crafting system, trade, missions, PVP, grinding, gathering, you name it FE has it. Rarely do I find a game that I can dive into, play for hours and not worry about how far I'm advancing, I'm just having fun. Best of all, it's free. You can download directly from the gamersfirst website or from Steam, either way don't be disappointed, the cash shop is very light on the very scrutinized "Pay to Win".
I've only been back a weekContinue Reading

This week, Steam has added two new free-to-play games to its library: Realm of the Mad God and Fallen Earth.
Realm of the Mad God is described as a "cooperative MMO bullet hell shooter," and features permanent death, class quests, and achievements. Fallen Earth is a post-apocalyptic third person shooter, previously pay-to-play, set in the Grand-Canyon. Returning veterans through steam will get 3 days of Commander Premium and a Hermit Crab pet.

So it has been awhile since I shared with you all my progress in the game, mostly since I haven’t been doing too much other than leveling. But now I do have some new info to report on, which is that I have changed my look quite a bit, except for the hat, and I finally have my new motorcycle.
If you haven’t followed these things too much, which I honestly haven’t written too many on, then you may have missed my hardships with crafting a motorcycle, which took about two days to get everything done. That is two days of constantly crafting and leaving my character in science facility so it would actually speed up and not take even longer. But, I will be a bigger man than that and not harp on too much about how much of a painful experience it was and how I had to re-do thContinue Reading
So since last time I shared with you all, I made some progress with my new character Vayd. He has made it to level 10, and even passed the atv quest…..alone. Why alone, you may be asking yourself, being that the quest is a pain to do soloing without any help and being low level? Well my friends it is quite simple, most of the people I approached offering to group up to do it ignored me. I would try asking politely, even offered a hand and saved a few by healing them. It was all for naught as not one replied to my questions or even the to the heals I gave them, they simply ignored as if I was invisible.
Did I give up? No. I tried several times to get past this challenge. By fighting them alone, didn’t work, doing it when other people were around, kind of worked. This one workedContinue Reading
Why is this called the not so wasteland diary you may ask? Well, due to how the game is progressing at the moment, my friends and I have progressed a bit slow in the game. I told you guys before that I wanted to do a dairy of sorts of my adventures in the game before I write a review/first impression on the game. Well, so far I have mostly been greeted with “The Server is down” messages.
From a friend who got a message about the recent downtimes, it seems to be caused by the huge amount of traffic they have been getting since the game has switched over. This is more than they anticipated and it seems they’re doing little fixes here and there each day to try to resolve it. Hopefully they get things up and running soon, as I have liked the game quite a bit so far.
So I have been meaning to play Fallen Earth since I saw it. Since the announcement has been that it was going free-to-play, I thought that time as well would be a great time to do a review on the game, which I still do plan to do…..but there has been some hiccups so far.
During the release day and yesterday, when I was trying to log in the login server was down, which I later found out was due to a patch. Fair enough. Today I try to log in to at least create a character with my friend, who can read the review and tell me where I failed on it. Moving away from the topic of reviewing it – I tried the game again today with a new issue, which checking the forums seems to be common today, which is I can log in, but not create a character. Now wondering the issue, I checkContinue Reading

Fallen Earth was announced a while ago that it was going free-to-play, the models set forth were announced as well. Finally now the game will make its official transition to the free-to-play model on Oct. 12. This is a last chance for players to get in on the game witha subscription to get the rewards they set in place for subscribers.
This transition is typical with the others we have seen offering a free account and different tiers of Premium accounts. If you read some of my articles before, you’re bound to know I am not a fan of these if the limitations are too steep, which most of these games have done. I have the chart for the different types and their benefits. For the most part, it isn’t nearly as bad as some I have seen before, and seems like you can suContinue Reading
Fallen Earth is a post-apocalyptic MMORPG set in a near-deserted wasteland somewhere near the American Grand Canyon that recently announced its plans to re-launch with a free-to-play business model. Being the diligent journalists that we like to believe we are, Daniel Owens and I sat down together to give it a try. Here’s what we found: click here to read the full review!

On the morning of October 12th, 2011 Fallen Earth will go into its regularly scheduled maintenance. When it returns, the game will officially be transitioned to Free2Play. This means that all current and former accounts (that have been linked to a GamersFirst account) will be able to play for free!
Here is an image showing the mostly-finalized* structure of free accounts and Premium Subscriptions, with a description below of each of the packages and who might choose them:
*Finalized but still subject to balance tweaks. Veteran pricing on Commander Premium Subscription is intended to be discounted, details of which are coming soon.
