I was kind of shocked when someone requested I review this. Because I didn't even know this game still existed. To be honest it shouldn't it's really dated as a title. And this is more of an amusing all of us review. Let's do a bit of a history lesson on this.
When this game came out it had a lot of fanfare. And a very big commercial blitz. Unfortunately like "Fury" another game during the time. All the fanfare quickly vanished. Which left a game that was really incomplete. So it was cancelled as an p2p. Then it came back as a p2p only to die again. And then revive like it has a bunch of phoenix down. As the free to play title you see now.
After all this time things have cleaned up a bit. For me to say bit after all this time isn't that good. But the good in this game com
Hello!Hellgate Global has two combo events this December! First off is "The Rookie Challenge" Actually, I've tried this and this isn't very hard to do. All it requires is dedication. I remembered playing Hellgate Global for almost 1 and a half day straight and achieved level 30+. Beating this challenge is doable, I believe. The good thing about this is that the second event will make the challenge easier. The second event is "Jump Start". Hellgate Global's chat channels were recently full and noisy because of the sudden influx of new players. Lol. As of now there are no mmorpg like Hellgate Global. Path of Exile is still on CBT, Mythos has just finished its CBT, and both Diablo and Torchlight had delayed launches. If you're an ARContinue Reading
This came from my blog, kashiewannaplay.wordpress.com/
Hellgate Global is described by many uninformed sites as a first-person shooter game with RPG elements. I beg to disagree. I believe what they're talking about is Borderlands. Hellgate Global is a far different game from what they are trying to portray. Why is Hellgate Global not a first-person shooter game? Although Hellgate Global can be ticked to play in the first-person perspective, Hellgate Global lacks the general features of a first-person shooter:
1.) Realism - This is the umbrella feature of first-person shooters. Most, if not all, first-person shooters strive to achieve realism by imitating real-life guns and its features. Hellgate Global doesn't do this, which can be further explained by the next points, twitch, aim, reach/range, and projectile.
2.) Twitch Gameplay - first-person shooters rely on reaction-based gameplay. Hellgate Global, although timing is important, too, doesn't necessarily fall unContinue Reading
I found out this morning that it is possible to blog in mmosite. Anyway, I would just like to talk about Hellgate Global. I'm playing the game right now, and it seems that Hellgate Global is brewing up to release Hellgate Tokyo.
During the September 8-9 maintenance, this was posted in the maintenance notes:
And then on September 13, I saw this on their Facebook fan page:
"When mankind faces the threat of annihilation, there is no room for differences. There are no differences in race, gender, or complexion; to them we are no different from one another. In these times of war, we are all the same. It does not matter where you are or where you're from, because we are all brothers-in-arms..."
And on September 14, I saw this on their Facebook fan page:

Ah Hellgate, what a long way you've come...
Originally created and developed by Flagship Studios in 2007, the game suffered when the company filed for bankruptcy in 2008. There was continual support for the game's servers until 2009, when everything came to a halt. It seemed as if no hope was left for this dark and gritty action slasher, until Korean developer HanbitSoft picked up the game with high hopes of reviving it in the form of an MMO.
This is a quick and brief overview for those who have already devoted hours and hours of playtime into various MMOs, and just want a quick overview of how the game works without going too in depth into any kind of complicated systems.
Remember, the game I am describing now is the renewed version by HanbitSoft, not the old one by FlagContinue Reading
Today Hanbitsoft announced that their rerelease of Hellgate, the fated game that sunk Flagship Studios, is going into open beta for North America and Europe. It's been three years since Hellgate: London, and from what I've seen of this game so far, I'm pretty impressed. The character design is fairly awesome at least. You can access the beta here.
Hellgate will celebrate the Open Beta launch with four special events to reward and entertain the growing Hellgate community - the Guild Reservoirevent, the Daily Supplies event, the To Level in Hell event and the Level and Be Rewarded event, each awarding top players with valuable prizes. Additionally, the Open Beta will feature two new game modes – the PvPDuel ArContinue Reading

Well give it a shot off of t3funs official site. They're giving players a chance to try their luck in a 50-50 draw to see if they will get in or not.
As quoted from the site:
"You can make a gamble and click “apply now”. If the image shows that “Your courage has been noted”. Then congratulations you are going to be a CBT tester! (It’s a 50-50 chance)"
Test your luck now in the following link: hellgate.t3fun.com/Home/Home.aspx
If you get in, you will see this image:
(Yea crappy crop I know, and I had to use IE since the site wasn't liking Chrome.)
So good luck, and hopefully you all get in.
For those who don't know what Hellgate is: It is another game that was released by the now deceased Flagship Studios, who you may reContinue Reading
