Albion Online: My thoughts and starting out

By: Scion Storm posted at Aug 03, 2017 4:56 pm

I wanted to touch on Albion a little today. A lot of streamers and YouTubers are playing this game. It has a high learning curve when it comes to starting out. You can do basically anything you want in progression. It being PVP, crafting, and PVE. The key to this is balance and knowing when to do things. My suggestion starting out is farm a bit. Build all your gear up to Tier 2 and then venture further out in the world. After you get a bit of game experience under your belt. Start the journey after Tier 3 items and crafting. The game pretty much progresses from that point on. I wouldn't suggest PVP until you have T4 items. Anything lower in contested zones will just lead to heart ache.

Personally, the game has promise. It just runs a bit too slow for my taste. I can see why however it has become very popular. I'm looking forward to them expanding on the game play.

Who Should Play Albion Online?

By: Fevir posted at Jul 25, 2017 10:26 pm

So it's been over a week since Albion's official release and the early adopters seem to have very polarizing opinions of the game.. which to be honest is to be expected with a game that basically disallows any serious solo player from progressing in a real manner past a certain point and requiring players to... work together... in an MMORPG.

Weird concept by today's standards.

Among the different types of criticism and praise that have come forth we hear things about the game being pay to win, that it's nothing more than grinding, that the gameplay is stale and obviously.. the graphics need some work.  So who exactly is a game like Albion made for?  Who should play Albion Online?

Regardless of my personal feelings about the game.  A game like Albion has a place in th

The Guardians of Albion Online

By: Fevir posted at Jun 21, 2017 10:01 am

The launch of Albion only is fast approaching.  On July 17th we can finally play the game with no wipes- and really give it our all.  The team over at Sandbox Interactive has been incredibly patient making sure the release is ready when it's ready and have already hinted at expansions before the game has even come out.

For today I want to briefy go over the, "Guardians of Albion".  These are powerful enemies which require planning and skill in order to take down.  From what I've seen and read.. this means an Albion equivalent to a raid boss.

Currently there are 5 different guardians and when they die they drop 2 560 tier 6 resources- tied to the element that the guardian is.

Let's take a quick look at the guardians now:

Old White (Hide)

Ancient Ent (Wood)

Albion Online's PvP and GvG Content

By: Fevir posted at Apr 11, 2017 1:58 pm

Albion Online's release has been delayed a few times now but now has a set in stone release date of July 17th- and with that inching closer and closer with each day.  It's time I took a bit of time and looked into the stuff that really interests me about Albion Online.. but also about any MMORPG game that I play... the PvP and the GvG content.

Spending any amount of time looking into Albion Online and you can find that the big draws for the game are it's fiercely unforgiving and cutthroat mechanics of full loot pvp and open world PK systems.. or at least zones (which account for half of the map) that allow for that.

As well as an economy that is fueled by loss.  Everything item in the game is created by other players from resources they took from the game.. a

Albion Online - Tons of changes & New Content

By: Cryyfuu posted at Mar 16, 2017 10:43 pm

Albion Online finally has a release date, July 17th.

It also received a very big update (not in file size lol) that has changed and added so much to the game it's a bit overwhelming.

Faction bases that spawn daily and weekly bosses that will be contested by many guilds. World bosses, expedition quest that can be done solo or in groups. New skills, changes to the current skill system, more added to the destiny board and a better looking UI.

The world map has also been redone making it easier to find things and giving the world a more immersive feel.

Guild vs Guild and open world PvP will now be more balanced and...

Albion Online: I am not in support of zergs

By: TamamShamoon posted at Jul 05, 2016 11:01 pm
Some accidentle ganking deaths might occur but its no big deal when your zerg as a whole controls 90% of the Cheap Albion Online Gold. Also its pretty hard for Alliance 1 to accidently AoE itself when everyone of the 300 members in that alliance cannot attack each other.

The simple solution is Alliance 1 stands in quad A, Alliance 2 stands in Quad B. Now theres no friendly fire and thus the zerging can continue. The zerg is not going to be foolish enough to have their second alt alliance walk 5 meters next to them during a huge fight.

I am not in support of zergs here, I am just pointing out how the idea that removing and capping alliances magically fixes the problem.

Imagine if there was a deadly disease that was spreading over a town killing everyone there. Then someone said hey... this disease is very bad, lets put 50 people into this small house and tell them never to leave because if you go out into the streets you may get infected and Albion Online Silver. Meanwhile sticking these pContinue Reading
