Greetings once again Slayers!
We will be delving once again into the world of combat that is quite prevalent in WindSlayer 2.
A few entries ago I touched on the various classes that a player can choose from as well as took a dive into the PvP Arena and now we will combine the two for some heart pumping action! In the days of ‘retro’ fighting games, players would have to figure out the special moves of their character and put them together to form combos that cause massive damage to their enemies. WindSlayer 2 is no different, allowing you to use the skills purchased from trainers to demolish your adversaries out in the world or in the Arena. It is a good idea to visit the Arena and spectate a few matches to see what skills the combatants are using to attack and counter-attack with.Continue Reading
Stock up on potions and prepare your weapons Slayers! In this entry to the developer’s diary we’ll be delving into the exciting, dangerous and rewarding dungeons of WindSlayer 2.
What world isn’t complete with lairs crawling with minions and diabolical bosses plotting to take over? Luckily for those adventurous enough to take on the challenge, there are plenty of dungeons to explore and conquer in the lands of Beuritania.
Hidden within each region of Beuritania is an instanced dungeon occupied by nefarious beings. These dungeons allow you to form an expedition with friends, guild members or even total strangers to have a more personal experience adventuring through your own private dungeon. Other players cannot enter your instance, so you will not have to worry about possible annoyancesContinue Reading
It has been quite a month since we opened the doors to WindSlayer 2. The community came out the gate expecting great things and we have done our best to deliver it on a daily basis. Throughout this time we have been collecting player feedback to bring what our community wants to WindSlayer 2.
Nobody can please them all, but we have listened and are happy to present something many players have been asking for: an increased game resolution that will enhance your game play!
As you can see from the attached screenshots, not only has the UI received a stunning makeover, but now more of the playing field is visible. The new UI provides a more streamlined and clean looking interface which is less ‘bulky’ and intrusive. The increased resolution makes movingContinue Reading
Today I’ll be making another entry in the developer’s diary of WindSlayer 2. I will be discussing one of the more entertaining and rewarding aspects that bring people together… Events! There are several categories of events that you will encounter in WindSlayer 2. These are Scripted Events and GM (Game Master) Events. All these events are posted on our website beforehand to give enough time for as many people to attend as possible. Let us take a look at the differences to see which (if not all) you would be interested in taking part in.
The first type of event I’ll talk about is Scripted Events. This type of event is usually run through the holidays or when new content is being introduced. Typically the events can be found by visiting Eventia, theContinue Reading

Prepare for battle Slayers!
This week’s developer diary takes a stab at one of the most talked about topics of WindSlayer 2: Player-versus-Player (PvP) combat!
After honing your skills on the ape army, demolishing renegade robots, and even eradicating the rat problem, you still thirst for blood. We all have some pent up aggression that needs to be released and what better way of doing that than challenging a fellow (or enemy) Slayer to a duel? A great way to settle disputes and put your mettle to the test, PvPing in WindSlayer 2 is a heart pounding experience that will make you a regular in the Arena.
At the Arena, which can be found in each major city and is run by a war veteran named Yuppo, you can sign up for different battle modes such as Team Match, Death Match, Capture the Flag aContinue Reading
It is my pleasure to bring to you the next entry in the developer’s diary of WindSlayer 2. Today I’ll be discussing the Economics of WindSlayer 2, which might sound a little vague but the main points I’ll talk about are the Gathering, Mining, Crafting, Enchanting and Enhancing skills as well as the Flea Market.
Jack of All Trades
Throughout your journeys in Beuritania, your equipment and supplies are bound to see some wear and tear and eventually wear out or get replaced. In times like these, having the skills to create new items or enhance existing ones is essential in WindSlayer 2. Not only will you have a greater advantage over your foes, but you can even sell your spare items in the Flea Market to prospective buyers.
Gathering & Mining

WindSlayer 2 has kicked off its closed beta, giving a select group of players the chance to see how the game plays before it goes live. But for everyone else, the game's previews are the only clues as to how the game will play once you can log in. Here at Massively, we've been posting a series of exclusive diaries straight from the team over at Ignited Games to show off what the game will have to offer players fond of the side-scrolling sprite format.
Our last diary, of course, dealt with the game's three classes devoted to getting within arm's reach of monsters and pounding them senseless -- the melee classes, to be more prosaic. So it's appropriate we have a new exclusive today previewing the game's three ranged classes. Click on past the break for discussion of the Archer, Mage, a
So today I managed to convince one of my friends to play Wind Slayer 2 with me, the game is currently in in Open Beta. I actually missed the closed beta, while waiting on War of the Immortals to finally release their cbt. (Still waiting on that)
I have to first mention since I missed cbt, I never played the game before, so this is my first go at it. I also again failed to do my homework before playing the game, and only knew of it as “that game that kinda looks like Maple Story.” It does kind of look like it, but does seem a bit different in terms of art style and features. Like for instance, I saw the ability to craft and collect materials, didn’t get to try it, but I saw it. Not to mention the characters are taller, but still with their overly sized heads.

Greetings WindSlayer 2 Fans!
This is Tommy Luo, the lead producer of WindSlayer 2, bringing you another entry into the developer's diary. As we get closer to release, we wanted to give you a peek at our Melee classes; Warrior, Rogue and Monk.
Champions of Close Combat!
If you enjoy diving head first into hoards of enemies, dealing impressive damage while being able to take quite a bit as well, then a melee class is perfect for you. Specializing in close-range combat, these classes require the player to make decisions on the fly, whether it is inflicting precise and lethal damage or protecting their self or party. Each melee class is unique in its mechanics, so how the player chooses to react in battle will decide which class they wish to pursue.
Way of the Warrior
Warriors are possibly the
