Blacklight Retribution: The Nightmare That No Players Should Experience

By: Ammunition posted at Feb 27, 2013 7:45 pm

The new overloaded patch of Blacklight has finally been set for full release last night and what was expected was far different from a dream. If you have read my last article it said how much of a dream come true and how excited I was to wait for the new onslaught mode (link:Blacklight:A Dream Come True). But after today's experience it was far from a dream. From so many problems just accumulating it really made it a nightmare to even try to get in game. What I have experience and a whole bunch of other players was just pure torture. When a new and overloaded patch arrives, of course it has its errors. But when this patch became live there was just so many thing wrong that came out that even I was getting impatient. The experience of either having

Blacklight Retribution: A Dream Come True!

By: Ammunition posted at Feb 20, 2013 11:37 pm

I have been looking at blacklight retribution since its debut during the close beta testing and all I can say was wow this game has gone through a lot. Although I did not start during the closed beta season, I have just started recently playing blacklight retribution before it undergone a competitive patch. I couldn't choose a better time to play as patch after patch it just have gotten better. I have been following the game since beta, and with that I have been excited with the very new patches and the soon to be release, update to the game.

Stat Tracking

This is one of those mechanics that should have always been in the game since the beginning. But just recently blacklight has added a functional and per

Blacklight - Siege mode!!!! Synopsis

By: Pelagato posted at Aug 14, 2012 1:31 pm

Hey peeps, a new game mode in Blacklight Retribution was released some hours ago, Siege Mode!!!!! Its kinda fun and hilarious but at the same time it can be annoying as hell. The whole idea of the new mode is to escort some sort of Tank (Scorpion Tank) from point A to point B if you are the attacker and destroy it if you are the defender... Just like Team Fortress 2...

That sounds perfect... Right??? Well, its not!!!! Let me tell you a few pros and cons, you decide if the new game mode is functional or broken as hell!!!!

1. Kinda fun...

2. Tons of sniping and run around...

3. The whole playing field is suppose to be centered around the moving Tank... In theory, it should be dynamic!!!!

4. Defending is really fun because you get to destroy the Tank, or at least disable it... Its a real challenge!

5. The Tank is so powerful, if you are the lucky guy who gets to control it... Get ready to score a lot of kills...

6. Its something new!!!!

1. As a whole, the game mode is determined b

Blacklight Retribution - RAGE!!!!

By: Pelagato posted at Apr 07, 2012 4:33 pm

I dont even know if I am about to burst in flames right now... I am pooling with sweat and rage at the same time over this friggin game... Blacklight Retribution is a cool game, it follows the Call of Duty style with some Crisys twist and a few other things... I know that the cashshop is a pain to get items but if you play a lot and you get your permanent stuff, you are good to go...

The problem is that once again I am mad at the game because of the players who play the friggin thing!

The first group I hate are the Aimbotters or the "I take a crap at your face" kind of player. I have seen players using Bolt Action Rifles and blowing the brains out of every player they see... I saw a single guy with a score of 48 kills in a match!!! All of them HEADSHOTS!!!!! I was like WTF is th

Blacklight:Retribution Closed Beta Phase 4 Review

By: ~Zephyra~ posted at Jan 30, 2012 5:55 pm

Blacklight: Retribution is a Sci-Fi MMOFPS from Perfect World Entertainment. Currently the game is in Closed Beta Phase 4 and keys to the game can be obtained from MMOSite's Contest section. Blacklight: Retribution features modern guns, with some futuristic features. If you were expecting laser beams or full on mecha fight then you'll be disappointed. The game uses lobby/room system akin to most online shooters.

Dominating the other team with 2 hardsuits >:D

Blacklight is more of a casual shooter as there are many elements in the game that make it much easier for casuals to be at least decent. First off players have a X-ray vision function that's called HRV. When activated players are shown the locations of enemies, allies, as well as depot locations. Beginners have a easier time de

Blacklight: Retribution CBT3 Review

By: Chaosknight40k posted at Dec 20, 2011 11:17 pm

Blacklight: Retribution is the latest Perfect World Entertainment’s FPSMMO in development that follows closely in gameplay formula with most of today’s blockbuster FPS titles such as Call of Duty and Battlefield series.

Spraying at long range = terrible idea

But if you have never played any of those games, Blacklight: Retribution provides you with a quick tutorial that will teach you all the basics so you won’t be completely clueless on what to do.

Unlike its predecessor, Blacklight: Tango Down, which included single player and co-op missions that sets you to complete various objectives and survive against mutants/zombies, the current beta build of Blacklight only allows you to pvp in a 16 player max game. Perhaps future content patches will add in those features for p
