1) Can you present yourself and Nice Technology.
Hi, I’m Toby Simpson, producer, programmer and tea-maker at Nice Technology. In total, there are six of us working here in Cambridge. We have been working on Picaroon now for almost a year.
2) Why do you choose Massively Multiplayer Online Game for first game?
We have developed some exciting technology that allows for very large-scale massively multiplayer online games to be developed easily and efficiently. We’re proud that we’ve managed to develop something as complicated as Picaroon in just a year!
3) Can you explain the goal of the game and the features?
Picaroon is a free-to-play real-time strategy game based in a sort of futuristic pirate environment. We like to think of it as a giant Risk game but where everyone can take their turn when they feel like it. Generally, games last a few weeks – we think four week games will be id
