Path of Exile: Review; Wraeclast is a blast made to last.
By: KradisZ posted at Feb 15, 2013 4:54 pm - 0
In Path of Exile where will Wraeclast take you? To the depths of a watery abyss? A gory blood lake? Jungle riddled with monkeys and bandits? Backstabbing ghost pirates? Strange mansion-like hallways embroidered with gold with... torture devices o.O? Nude statues? Run-down markets? Battlefields?
A new beginning and a new life is where it begins for your character in Path of Exile having been banished off the mainland for an unfortunate misdeed they carried out. (Some of the back stories are just hilarious. I personally like the Witch & Duelist's story.)
As said in the impression article I wrote previously I stated that I definitely wanted to review this soooo...
Wraeclast brought me here today, to write a review.
As usual the TL;DR seciton is way down there.
I've played the game for o

Path of Exile Act 1 Storms Path
By: Silentstorminc posted at Feb 03, 2013 8:30 am - 0
I decided to do a mini series on this game. Basically my exploits and what I went through for the most part in the many acts. I won't bore you with all the hack and slash. But I will show off boss fights my tactics on them. And show my passive tree progression as well as my thoughts on aspects of the game.
I also did this video awhile back. I am putting awareness into actually using this resource. You don't have unlimited respecs so exploring the tree before you do things will help you greatly.

Path of Exile - Ooh, ooh, Me First!
By: taxipipes posted at Jan 24, 2013 9:07 pm - 0
This game is a lot of fun. It's terrific really... finally a developer has had the sense to maximize an aspect of gameplay. Now, there are not unique or pluribus aspects of the game that make me say "oh yea...," but the tide of extremism in and of itself is wildly appealing. Let's start with the basics -
1. Good hack and slash action.
The graphics and interface are solid enough to keep me at bay for hours at a time.
2. The loot is good and well developed.
Not too much, maybe slightly too little, and limited enough so that you don't hear - "Oh I got that too..."
There is also a cool system of re-enchanting.
3. Overall a mostly satisfying experience.
There are two leagues - hardcore and default. When you die in hardcore you are removed from that league and placed
into the default league never to b

The Path of Exile: Impression - Reverberation of the past.
By: KradisZ posted at Jan 24, 2013 9:56 am - 0
The Path of Exile began Open Beta yesterday on January 23, 2013. The may be news to some but definitely something awaited by many action-oriented RPG fans of the genre.
Path of Exile takes place in Wraeclast. From what I gathered through my first few hours in Path of Exile, it is a forsaken land where people have been out cast in to like a wilderness or no man's land kind of atmosphere.
Note: This impression might be a bit lop-sided since I enjoyed the game quite a lot, so I don't think I will be highlighting very many negatives.
The game takes place off shore for me, I don't know if it's different for others but I started out as a Witch. (Burn her!). I like playing spellcasters mainly but what really left a taste for more for me in the game was the skill gems that could level up

Path of Exile Passive System Walkthrough
By: Silentstorminc posted at Jan 22, 2013 6:45 pm - 0
I just felt I needed to go more in depth with the passive system. It's very in depth deep and daunting if you take it all in. But once you get used to it and try it out here
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree
You soon understand just how much fun it is. For starters you can easily tread inside of your classes area of skills. Or you can venture out into the other classes and make something totally unique and fun.
Some ideas maybe bad ideas but that's the beauty of growing and learning everything you need to do.

Path of Exile Storm's Review
By: Silentstorminc posted at Jan 22, 2013 7:22 am - 0
Path of Exile Storm’s Break Down
So I waited all the way until a day before open beta. To act like I didn’t already know this game was good. I remember this game back when it was a post idea on the Cry Engine forums. That was a long time ago and it’s rather refreshing to see an idea come this far.
Diablo Like?
Well yes it is kind of exactly like it in its core and look. The game feels smoother than Diablo 3 better voice acting which is funny to even say that. But at about you hitting the skills screen you soon see something familiar of a totally different nature.
Passive System
Pretty much if you played Final Fantasy 13 and you remember the Crystal skill system. This is almost exactly the same thing on a much larger flexible scale. You can choose your path how you see fit with multiple ways to go. So make your character the way you want and not feel that boxed in.
Character Creation
Unfortunately it appears limited to just the 6 characters base looks. You can pick up items to c
