ArcheAge Player kicks in XL Games' Corporation walls, gets an apology
By: Dododoro posted at May 13, 2013 7:54 am - 0
Reported through MMOCulture
In an official news posted on ArcheAge’s website today, it was reported that a player of ArcheAge Korea caused a din at XLGAMES’ offices on 3rd May, kicking on the office’s glass walls and trying to enter the premises due to lack of support over his hacked account.
Of course, he was restrained by the company security guard. But according to voice records posted on an internet forum (here and here), the guard was also at fault for his aggressiveness, leading to XLGAMES apologizing to the player involved as well and promised to “enhance the training for security staff in the future”.
XLGAMES is also looking into an overrall review of the customer service procedures. The player’s ArcheAge account was apparently hacked several times despite being

XLGames reveals ArcheAge Trailer
By: Dododoro posted at Nov 23, 2012 9:15 am - 0
At the tencent games carnival 2012,
XLGames' most anticipated MMORPG ArcheAge
showed off a brand new trailer.
(Whether it is for the game's launch is puzzling)
ArcheAge is also said to use CLOUD technology
to allow players to download the game as they play
in order to get into the game faster.
This makes the game more accessible to players as well
and makes the game easier to download for those on slow connections.
The trailer can be seen below.

ArcheAge – No client download needed with cloud tech
By: Dododoro posted at Oct 10, 2012 7:15 am - 0
I am sure the Western gamers know about services such as OnLive and Gaikai, hence this cloud thing should not be a stranger. Since ArcheAge is an online-only title, it just makes sense to go cloud. In the future, ArcheAge’s tablet client will be using this technology as well. Yes, revealed for the first time, a tablet client is in the works!Continue Reading

More Information on ArcheAge (AA)!
By: Beligerent posted at Jun 20, 2012 11:51 pm - 1
I am very excited to say that ArcheAge is definitely going to be released to the NA and Europe. I am not sure why I had my doubts about it coming to the rest of the world (I guess I'm a cynical person), but I'm very glad my doubts have been proven wrong! XLGames’ Suk Woo Choi announced in an interview with Mmorpg.com (those lucky bastards) at E3 that they hoped to have ArcheAge live in Korea by the end of this year, and for ArcheAge to get to the NA by 2013 or 2014.
This is sadly, a very long time to wait, but it will most assuredly be worth the long wait. I doubt that another themepark+sandbox mmo like ArcheAge will come out anytime soon. Guild Wars 2 is really just a distraction to me until this beautiful game comes to the NA. It's weird to be so excited about a game that I haven't

A Look Into ArcheAge's Underwater Exploration
By: Beligerent posted at Apr 09, 2012 9:15 pm - 0
Until CB4 underwater exploration in ArcheAge was pretty pointless. They added treasure hunting though, making it more wprth while to do. So get your scuba diving gear and your balloons ready so you can get that treasure and float it back up to your ship!
Here is the official video for the underwater gameplay.
And here's a more in depth, unofficial video of the gameplay.
Pretty fun looking, right? I wouldn't care if they hadn't added this feature because I would have still gone exploring underwater either way.

A Look Into Sieges In ArcheAge
By: Beligerent posted at Apr 04, 2012 9:47 pm - 0
Seiges only take place on the weekends and last for two hours. Each side can have 50 players, one side the attacking party, and the other the defending. Currently there is no benefit for owning territories, but XLGames did mention that later on there will be an area of effect around conquered territories and houes built in this area of effect will be forced to pay taxes to the owner of the territory.
The owner of the territory can be evil too if he/she wants to be and demolish anything and claim crops without any penalty. This is where sieges would come in really handy because if the people were to get upset because the current owner/owners of the terirory were being too cruel they would get the chance to have a siege and take the territory and run it in a more fair manner.
Here's a vi
