If you thought you could hide online, think again. Alfred "Rastlynn" Hightower just found out that when you're playing World of Warcraft,you can't hide from the law.

Hightower was wanted in Howard County, Indiana for two charges of dealing a controlled substance and for dealing marijuana, but had fled the country to Canada. Howard County sheriffs had enlisted the help of the U.S. Marshals to track down the suspect, and were working with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to extradite him. However, they had to locate him first.Through investigation, Sheriff's Deparment Deputy Matt Robertson and Sheriff's Major Steve Rogers found that Hightower was fond of an online game that sounded very much like World of Warcraft. Robertson prepared and sent a subpoena to Blizzard Entertainment, not expecting a response as Blizzard is in California where Howard County has no jurisdiction -- the subpoena was nothing more than a kindly worded request in the eyes of the law.

Whether that’s a good or bad thing depends on your perspective. FInal Fantasy XIII, released Dec. 17 in Japan, is nominally a videogame. But the big draw is that it features the most lavish, jaw-dropping and just plain expensive-looking cinematic cut scenes I’ve ever seen. And though this marriage is fraught with plenty of potential hazards -- best seen in the unkillable and still usually awful game-to-film adaptation -- there's no denying that's plenty of room for both mediums to share and grow.

Bayonetta is Sega’s entry into the Action genre, and is much akin to games like Devil May Cry and God of War, what with it being directed by the same person who directed Devil May. But Bayonetta achieved something which none of these other games could -- it scored a perfect 40/40 in Famitsu. Bayonetta is definitely a must-have for all PS3 and Xbox 360 owners.

MAG is a dream come true for all those who love Shooters. With an involving online experience, and some personalized touches provided by gameplay mechanics such as character creation and as such, MAG is definitely the Shooter all PS3 owners have been looking forward to. The United Halo Hater's Local 310 Union would have been furious if I hadn't included this one. ODST introduced the great Firefight mode and shipped with every Halo 3 map and mode, but the actual campaign fell pretty short. The game sold well, but critical and consumer response was the most muted ever for a Halo game. ODST gets the 10th spot on the list because its hype and marketing was relatively low for the series - Bungie has gone on record say the game was mismarketed.

DJ Hero

DJ Hero fascinated games journalists from its first unveiling because of its unique take on the music genre. The game garnered more coverage than any other music game this year and generally glowing reviews. The controller was well received, as were the included mixes. However, the gaming public

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom made waves when it was released in Japan for catering to old school fighting. However, it was extremely unlikely that this game would ever hit the West, thanks in no small part due to numerous licensing issues. However, Capcom has managed to figure a way out and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom looks set to be not only one of this generation’s definitive fighters, but also one of the best games next year.


No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
