When interacting with other players in MMOs, you must maintain these 10 rules of play to have a safe and productive online experience. These are easy to follow and I'm sure a lot of you will agree.

Rule #1

Don't Be a nuisance because you can or kill steal.

Rule #2

Don't Be rude or over use the word Noob or any of its counterparts.

Rule #3

Don't Act like you know everything or ask for free items/money.

Rule #4

Don't TALK IN CAPS! just cause you THINK it's important, doesn't make it so.

Rule #5

Don't:

Tell people what to do.
Beg for a PL (Power Level).
Refuse to take advise from more experienced players.
Refuse to go to information sites about the game.
Be Grammar police, we play a game, we're not writing a novel.

We have all dealt with the above, and I'm sure we all agree that it just needs to stop.

Rule #6

When talking in a Teamspeak/Ventrilo, make sure your microphone is working properly before you talk.

Over the Past Three months I have been keeping a heavy track on the game Star Gate Worlds. I did some research and it seems that the closed beta is prompted to start later today, if everything goes well. There were a couple of competitions from a few other sites for closed beta keys and one of them stated that the beta was supposed to happen today (September 19'th). The word around the Star Gate Worlds forums also seems to point in the direction that the closed beta stage was finally supposed to start. Keep an eye out today people for this may be the day that I, and so many others like myself, have been waiting for, if everything goes well. I impatiently anticipate the ability to defend the universe from the terror known as the Go'auld. Rushing into battle I would galliantly shout "kill the snakies!" and attack them with my P-90. In the darkness of a time where WoW is referenced in every game spite its genre, i have found a game that looks like it may re-illuminate the game future. This looks like a game that may be perfect for those like me who once traversed the almost limitless world of SWG before SOE decided to "improve" on it. On a brighter note though, it seems that the new game by Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment known as Stargate Worlds could be the answer to mine and many others prayers. with a possible future that would include something for everyone, it seems that this could become the game to make you say, "thank god SOE doesn't have it". Although not much is known about Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, it seems that they have made a very solid and fun looking game. I only hope that the company does not take this game and go too far off of the  path in which it has currently undertook.
