A Peek at Japanese Otakus' Christmas Eve
For Japanese, Christmas dinner is usually chicken and cake. Booze is involved as well. And the more discerning individuals, spend their meals with those closest to them. Alone.
These types of photos are very much a Japanese internet meme — people showing their Christmas meal and female characters with whom they are eating. They're more a gag than anything else with each photo trying to outdo the others. Not entirely serious! Though, still, slightly bitter sweet.

There is one NSFW photo too, find it by yourself via the source link
Erotic Japanese Title Lampoons Rape Game Ban

The dustup around rape game ban won't stop, In deference to games from the same genre as RapeLay, a title so controversial even the United Nations urged it be banned, a new Japanese erotic game sends up Japanese restrictions on games that contain content simulating forced sex, according the latest news reported by Gamepolitics
Shinobiryuu, a Softhouse developed PC game of the eroge variety, revolves around several Japanese warrior clans that end up having consensual sex with members of the opposite sex, as described by the website Canned Dogs. The consensual part of the description is key, especially in light of a ban of games featuring rape by Japan’s Ethics Organization of Computer Software (EOCS).
Before even beginning Shinobiryuu, users are presented with the following declaration:
This is a declaration made with the consensus of all the characters that appear in this story.
All the characters appearing in this game have gone through special training and all actions carried out are done on the basis of mutual agreement.
Even if you’re a inhuman person who believes that fictional characters in creative works do not have human rights, please do not ignore this.

Equality Now: "Games Are Extreme Pornography"

"Videogames are not art. They are extreme pornography," rants the UK leader of Equality Now in response to the notion that adult themes should be allowed in games. Quotation as following:
My organisation, Equality Now, has heard a lot from the fans of some of these games. We highlighted the game RapeLay, produced in Japan, as one example of many that promote violence against women. In RapeLay the player manipulates an onscreen penis to simulate rape of a woman and her young daughters over and over again.
Our international campaign called on the Japanese government to ban games that promote sexual violence against women and girls. Fans of these games were outraged.
They asked us why we were targeting RapeLay when, they said, it was mild compared to similar available games. In Japan there is a whole genre of extreme pornography, known as hentai, which takes in cartoons and comic books as well as videogames. Imagery includes women and girls being molested, stalked and gang-raped.
We received hundreds of emails from around the world, many calling for our own rape and murder. “By the way, I played RapeLay (doing the 13-year-old was best)”, said one, referring to the pr
Rape Game Rapelay Now Invades India
I thought the whole hubbub surrounding Japanese rape games (especially Rapelay) would be gone, I was wrong. It was mentioned again by Times of India, which said, Sex games with graphic visuals, including those which test the player’s ‘raping skills’, are making their way to India, mostly from Japan.

Repelay Chikan mode
Rapelay, a 3D game created by a Japanese firm, Illusion, with a storyline prodding the player to rape a woman and her two teen-aged daughters in a moving train, a park and a restroom, is among the hot picks’ in the grey market.
A source involved in direct marketing of foreign goods with suppliers in Chennai’s Parrys and Burma Bazaar markets told Times Of India that he sold 20 copies of Rapelay last week to customers who had placed orders in advance and that 50 more copies are expected in a fortnight.
These are mostly pirated copies made from an original smuggled in from Japan or ordered through online shopping websites earlier. Several websites like Amazon.com had removed Rapelay from its virtual shelves after protests in July.
Gamers say several such hentai (Japanese porn) games are also available on the net and can be

20% Japanese Men Want To Date Game Characters
Another entry from SankakuComplex talking about dating/loving/marrying with 2D characters

When I finished FSN, I did want to date Saber too
The latest finding about Japan’s increasingly unmanly men is that some 40% think enjoying in-game love is worthwhile, whilst 20% admit to actually wanting a relationship with characters in a game. The survey, covering 500 Japanese men in their twenties, covered a variety of questions relating to lifestyle.
When asked "Do you think of yourself as a 'herbivorous' man?", referring to a passive man who will not pursue women, a staggering 63.8% replied "yes." Then, when asked "Do you think enjoying a romance with a game character is on?", 42.2% responded that they did indeed think it was "ari." A fifth of the men went so far as to admit that on at least one occasion they had hankered after romance with a game character. Via Sankakucomplex and J-Cast
U.N. Urges Ban On Japanese Erotic Games

Maybe you will never see anything like this in the future, who knows

The debate over graphic Japanese sex games such as the disgusting and controversial RapeLay continues with word that the United Nations is stepping in.
At a meeting earlier this month, the U.N.'s Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women called for a ban on explicit video games and anime. As reported by Anime News Network, the committee urged Japan to ban "the sale of video games or cartoons involving rape and sexual violence against women which normalize and promote sexual violence against women and girls."
The committee also expressed concern "at the normalization of sexual violence in the State party as reflected by the prevalence of pornographic video games and cartoons featuring rape, gang rape, stalking and the sexual molestation of woman and girls."

Say Yes I do Under The Real Gundam
Within months we have heard a lot of news about Real Gundam. Here we've got a Gundam wedding ceremony. Let's check it out.

Heres comes the bride. And the giant mecha.
Earlier this week, Japanese wedding planner T&G planned wedding ceremony for one lucky couple, selected from 548 entries last month.
The two were married previously and stated that the Gundam series had been a tremendous influence in their lives. They even named they're new baby girl after Gundam character Seira. The groom is even dressed as Ray Amuro!

The Director of the Gundam also put in an appearance to give the happy couple a special gift.
A 18-meter-tall (59-foot-tall) RX-78 was erected to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the mecha anime/manga/toy/video game franchise.
It is part of the "Mobile Suit Gundam 30th Anniversary Project," and the temporary structure in Odaiba's Shiokaze Park was built from fiberglass-reinforced plastic over a steel frame and coated in a layer of awesomeness

Fifty points on the Gundam statue emit light, and mist shoot out of 14 different points on the statue. The 1/1 scale Gundam boasts a movable head and a continuous stream of oh-man-this-is-so-damn-cool. [kotaku
