Category: Default Game: Dragon Nest Posted on Jun 14, 2011 12:40 pm 3011Views 13CommentsThe infamous Dragon Nest is finally having it's closed beta from June 15th to the 20th. Awesome game and I am glad I got into the closed beta. I have had my eye on playing the Paladin class for a while. It sounds like a mix of Ragnaork Online's Paladin and Monk class.
The lore is interesting, even if I think I am one of the few that actually reads these things nowadays. It is the usual gods, goddesses, mortals, and dragons. Lots of dragons. I see plot holes everywhere but who cares? Let's get on with it...

Part one: So the gist of the lore is Desmodeus, ruler big guy, wants to find the lustre his son Lucius, thieving "favored" son, stole from him. He demanded his daughters Althea and Vestinel create worlds from his dream (which I don't even...) to create a mortal that can get the lustre back. Leaves me wondering why couldn't he send his daughters, every other god and goddess to search instead of wasting energy to create something weaker to search for it? Anyways Althea made the magical beautiful fun land and Vestinel the corrupted vile lands. So one daughter created a heaven like world and the other created hell. Talk about daddy issues? Daddy definately had a favorite. Daddy played favorites so Vestinel poisoned her sister. Corruption spread in fun land and the world blew up when the ancients, like all other ancient races, wanted power. Oh and in there somewhere Desmodeus understood what some sage said about losing something close to him.
Where was that sage before his son went all sticky fingers? Wise sage...my a$%
Part two: The Void dragon was created. It and the two original dragons of Althea, the Sentinel Dragon and Tempest Dragon, had a showdown. Think Pokemon legendary trio but two on one.Tempest dies with the Void. The Void dragon takes over the Tempest dragon's body. Then it is the Sentinel Dragon versus his zombie brother's corpse, I smell an epic battle. Everyone dies and spreads something somewhere. The Sentinel Dragon creates the Gold and Silver dragon to hunt down the Void Dragon's fragmented power.
Somehow this ties in with a girl called Rose that can unlock the Void dragon's power. Dragons, dragons everywhere. I guess that answers the "why is this called Dragon Nest?" question. Then you come in. Beat on the corruptions, dragons, and I guess eventually find Lucius in there somewhere. And Rose?

If you can put yourself into the role of the "hero" in the story, you will enjoy the a game a bit when you get bored. Think, what would the hero do? It seperates true "games" from the casual games. Just don't overdo it, seriously. Unless you are into that, you and your party. Then ahoy. Time to look up some combos and useful skills for tomorrow's beta while competley ignoring the lore like most gamers do. Not really. ign for beta: Rasho.
y u no read the lore?! cause tl;dr.
