RunDLC Week of 04/11/2011

Welcome to another installment of RunDLC. Last week was weak people, so weak there was no reason to post an update. There was one shining gem, but it was so deeply encrusted in the weak releases of last week it took me another week just to chip it out of the surface. Last week's shining champion was actually a DSi Ware title, but that is only because there was nothing else new in the digital wasteland for us RPG'ers. So this week I'm starting off with the Nintendo Wii, enjoy it while it lasts.

Anonymous Notes Chapter 1— From the Abyss (DSi Ware) — A roleplaying game on DSiWare? These are strange days indeed, with this effort from Sonic Powered Co. promising infinitely rearranging dungeons, magic, monsters and more. We'll cast Journalistic Appraisal le
RunDLC Week of 03/28/2011

Welcome to RUN DLC! A newly renamed column, formerly Downloadable Content. (Thanks to our Editor Mandifesto for the name change.) This week we’ve got some “decent” offerings, still a little weak but better than the desert of the past two weeks. You’ll notice the Wii brought nothing to play with this time, so I’m making it sit alone at the table. If you don’t share you can’t play with the others, bad Wii.
For X-Box 360 this week we have:
Mass Effect 2: The Arrival - (DLC) A deep cover operative has gone missing in Batarian space, days after reporting conclusive evidence of an imminent Reaper invasion. Shepard must travel to the edge of the galaxy, rescue the Alliance agent, and discover the truth behind the Arrival. Uncover new
Downloadable Content 03/21/11

Welcome to this week’s Downloadable Content update. We’re a week late but honestly there wasn’t much to talk about last week. Nintendo went back to it’s weak release list and X-Box completely screwed the pouch on RPG related downloads. This week the strong contender and the only contender is Playstation.
For X-Box 360 this week we have:
Mavlock’s Notes: Are you ready WEAVER!?! You get nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! YOU SO STUPID! That’s how a feel when I look at the list of releases for XBLA the past two weeks. After the initial release of Torchlight and Dragon Age 2 release day DLC, I’m left empty and bitter. Nothing worth talking about for the Xbox these past two weeks, so go finish playing Dragon Age 2.
Next up is PSN (Playstation Network
Ryzom is Free to Play

In 2004 a juggernuat MMORPG saw the light of public release, in the wake of its release other MMOs are the market felt themselves being pushed from center stage. One such title was The Saga of Ryzom, now simply Ryzom, released by French developer Nevrax. Over the past few years they have released chapter updates and implemented a New Player Experience system.
Now they are announcing this Wednesday Ryzm goes free to play. All content will be available for new players with a limitation on the level they can attain in all skills.Yumeroh, Ryzom’s Community Laison, had this to say:
“We are pleased to announce that from now on, players that create a new account can play Ryzom without time or place limits. Instead, free trial accounts are now limited to a maximum level of 125 in all di
