When interacting with other players in MMOs, you must maintain these 10 rules of play to have a safe and productive online experience. These are easy to follow and I'm sure a lot of you will agree.

Rule #1

Don't Be a nuisance because you can or kill steal.

Rule #2

Don't Be rude or over use the word Noob or any of its counterparts.

Rule #3

Don't Act like you know everything or ask for free items/money.

Rule #4

Don't TALK IN CAPS! just cause you THINK it's important, doesn't make it so.

Rule #5

Don't:

Tell people what to do.
Beg for a PL (Power Level).
Refuse to take advise from more experienced players.
Refuse to go to information sites about the game.
Be Grammar police, we play a game, we're not writing a novel.

We have all dealt with the above, and I'm
sure we all agree that it just needs to stop.

Rule #6

When talking in a Teamspeak/Ventrilo
, make sure your microphone is working properly before you talk.
Options is a great place to start.

Rule #7

When using a Guild/Clan chat implemented in a game, don't think that just cause you are part of the clan, that it gives you the right to tell others what to do.

Rule #8

Not every game is a wow clone, don't
refer to ANY part of a game like any other unless that game is the one you are talking about. I'm just generally tired of people saying, wow this chat system is just like the one wow has along with other unnecessary comparisons.

WoW did not invent everything that any game has, if you actually play any of the old school MMOs that are less talked about, you can actually see where wow has stolen idea's from them.

Rule #9

This is an important one, Don't just keep asking for help over and over again. You cannot expect others to play the game for you! If you have more than Five questions then you may want to consult google, and if all you wanna do is rely on higher levels to help you kill mobs, then how do you expect to be able to play the game later?

Rule #10

Finally the last Rule.
The best approach you can have in any MMO
is this: " Treat others as you would have them treat you"

Thank you for taking the time to read this, if you don't like it or think it's just a big rant, then that's your opinion. but either way, you can agree with at least one of these 10 Rules about MMO Gaming.
