Ok since I was really bored, and very desperate to play something good, I decided to buy and download fury.
Aquiring Fury via FTP was a nightmare, I had 3 corrupt downloads. Yeah I know most of you can just run down to the nearest GameSpot or Bestbuy, but thats not an option for someone that lives in the middle east.
So once I finally had Fury installed and running, I was horrified. No seriously, I cannot begin to imagine what all the hype is about. This game feels like a miserable attempt at an incomplete short story, that turned out bad. I could not help but get the impression that the dev team did not have enough time to really polish their product.
You start out by creating an "Avatar" you may only have one per account. Everything except the Name and Gender can be changed later on.
I must say that the Avatars are not that hot, in fact quite basic. So dont expect much there.
You start out with a tutorial, that will bore you to death. During this tutorial you are exposed to the basic controls of the game, and its different jobs/classes.
The class system in Fury is like FFXI you can switch out jobs at any time, including their skill setup, sort of like Planet Side's Equipment Swap system.
Once you leave the tutorial island, you are ported to the real thing.
At this stage thing World of Warcraft Battle Grounds, you choose one of 3 BG's and line up in a que. When the instance BG is ready you are insta ported to the warzone. Without any warning, or any visual indication of an instance teleport occuring. Which would make you think that your PC is freezing up.
There are three different battle modes: Free for all - Capture the Flag - Team Vs Team
You gain items and cash at the end of each PVP battle thats randomly rolled for.
And thats about it.
I must mention though that an FPS MMO hack like Fury is not my cup of tea.
Combat is boring, and clunky at best. I might also add that this game is not newbie friendly.
