Star Trek Online F2P model… Hate it like you mean it???

Hey guys, today I am a bit confused, Star Trek Online is going F2P for real but for some reason a lot of people believe that this is a bad move. Not because F2P is bad, it is because of the company behind the game now (Perfect World).

I am going to be honest, the only PW game that I am playing right now is STO lol!!!, I am not really familiar with any other PW game at all other than STO, I know that all their games look like the same crap over and over again with different names but I haven’t tried any of those game, ok…

From what I see all around the net, it looks like Perfect World is one of the worst companies in the mmo industry, that’s why they are already bashing the STO F2P model. I cant blame them, if a company have a bad reputation, what else can we expect from that company???

The problem is that no one is mentioning that the actual owner of the Star Trek franchise is not Cryptic or Perfect World… As far as I know the owner of the ST franchise is a television broadcasting company by the name of CBS…

We don’t know for how much time CBS is going to let Perfect World screw around with Star Trek, maybe they buy Cryptic studios from Perfect World, or they simply pull the plug and don’t sign any more publishing contracts after the current one expires… lol…

I know that the whole world hates Perfect World, but I have some hope that CBS is going to stand up and do something good for the game, not just let this company mess it up.
