Guild Wars 2 - The first 24 hours of gameplay...

Guild Wars 2 is a very strange game, it wants to be different and at the same time its so familiar with the things that we already know about mmos and games, its like some sort of hybrid, a very successful one.

After creating my first character, I was completely clueless of what the heck to do but after a few hours of gameplay, everything starts clicking into place, getting to know GW2 is probably one of the best things I ever done since the beginning of the 21st century. After playing with game for a bit (more than 25 hours), my addiction level to this game is higher than normal lol!!!

Not like every other mmo!!!! Its different!!!

That was one of the main marketing points used by Arenanet through out the years. They want to make something fun right out of the bat, the good news are that they manage to sort it out and make a nice looking and fun game to play. GW2 have a very special charm that I havent seen in years but!!!! That special charm is also the main issue with the game...

If you are not into new and different things or you simply like the standard mmo formula as it is... Then GW2 is probably not going to be the right thing for you, so if you do enjoy Grinding!!!!! (I dont understand why some people do, grinding is like having someone breaking my bones)... Chances are that you wont like the style of GW2... The same goes with all the people who actually like to take 10 quests in a random outpost.. Do all those quests and then move forward and never look back...

In other words, if you are strictly a very Old School gamer... Getting used to the new things in GW2 is going to be difficult, but if you are like me, the kind of player that usually gets into the game to explore new things and have fun, then get GW2 right away. The best way to approach GW2 is with an 'Open Mind'.  Guild Wars 2 is not a standard mmo, is not Guild Wars 1 and is not a single player game... Guild Wars 2 is GUILD WARS 2!!!!!

Anyway, here is a small list of the good and the bad things I notice about Guild Wars 2...

The Good!!!!

1. The game is fun as hell if you know what you are doing in the game...!

2. Eye candy art style (is not real but not cartoon... Its something else... Paint brushes!!!!).

3. It feels like something new and classic at the same time

4. You dont have to grind 100 hours to gain a friggin level and feel the progression of your character...

5. Combat is so much fun... (If you know what you are doing)...

6. A lot of players around the place, its hard to be alone in the game for a long period of time...

7. Lovely and charming community... (for some reason the players are not psychotic in Guild Wars 2... That is amazing!!)

8. Kick some ass and look hot at the same time...

The Bad

1. It looks like the game have some sound issues... (Strange turbine sound loop and a few other sound issues...)

2. Some conversations appear to be missing or muted when you talk to your main story NPCs...

3. Figuring out how crafting works can be a real pain when you start...

4. If you dont know how to fight correctly, the combat is going to be a total pain if you fight alone...

5. The /kiss and /flirt commands do nothing!!!!

The Cake

1. The underwear is Yellow!!!! I really mean it... YELLOW!!!!! Its something that doesnt really matter but... c'mon!!! We know that yellow looks like... ... ... pee?

In conclusion, Guild Wars 2 is a game worth playing, its very fun and I am starting to love it so much already, the only thing I hope is that Arenanet fix up the sounds issues, or at least they should let me know how to fix them up if it had something to do with my friggin computer lol!... I dont want to think that is one of those Sound Blaster only issues...
