How to make Gold in GW2…???? How to get the stuff you need to build up your exotic armor…????

Well, I know there is a bunch of guides over the net, but I am going to share with you guys what I believe it is some critical information if you really want to get the Gold number up in your inventory screen.

Remember, this information is critical if you want to get some serious gold in your virtual GW2 pockets…

Complete the whole map.

That means getting all the hearts, POIs, Vistas and Skill Points… If you complete a map area, you get a nice bonus, how much you get depends on the map completed but it’s always a good idea to complete every single bit of every map area.

Try not to die!!!

That is so friggin important, because every time you die, your armor gets damaged and you have to teleport if there is no one around to revive you. Those 2 things will drain your money big time. If you are level 80 and you die… That means that you pocket is going to go down by 1 to 5 silver… Not cool!!!

Reduce your travel costs…

I am not sure if this is some sort of exploit, but if you need to move around, enter the WvW map, and use the Asuran portal in there to get into Lions Arch, from there use another portal to move to another city that is closer to your destination, that way you will cut down some travel costs…

Its also a free taxi ride...

Walking all the time is a bit dubious.

I know that some people think that walking around the map is the best way to cut travel costs, and you get money if you do the events in the way… But keep in mind that ‘Time’ is money and if you are going to waste a lot of time walking around, you are just wasting money. Recommendation… Plan ahead and try to keep your walking down to a minimum, try not to change your mind that much about what u want to do in the game at the moment.

Collect resources.

If you see a tree around the place, Chop it!!! If you see a mineral vein, Mine it!... Grab all the resources you can get and salvage the Basic armor pieces you loot. Some people are willing to pay a high price for some materials in the Black Lions Market… Sometimes, you can get 1 silver for chopping down a single tree.

Craft rare items!

If you have the resources, you should craft rare items and then see if you can sell them for a good price in the market… If the price is not so great, then use a master salvage kit and try to get some ectos. The ectos always sell for a good price if you ask me and sometimes you can get lucky and get 3 ectos out of a single rare piece. (Rare piece means Yellow Text piece).

Note: I know the master salvage kits are expensive and leveling up a crafting profession can be expensive and time consuming… but remember that money makes money.

Group up and Magic Find!

When you kill mobs in a group, there is a higher chance of getting loot, if you have ‘magic find’ equipment on you, there is even a higher chance of getting loot… Combine those two things together and the chances of getting something goes high. More loot means more gold in your pockets…

Do events!!!

Sometimes I think that doing events is the best way to get money… Why??? Because you get tons of loot, karma and gold… You get everything in one package. I also have to point out that people clutter up to do events, so you can get the grouping loot benefit by doing the events too if there is people around.

In conclusion, getting in game money in GW2 shouldn’t be that hard, if you are always struggling for some gold, then something is going on with your playing strategy or you are really over expending gold.
