Blacklight - Siege mode!!!! Synopsis
Category: News Game: Blacklight Retribution Posted on Aug 14, 2012 1:31 pm 1676Views 3CommentsHey peeps, a new game mode in Blacklight Retribution was released some hours ago, Siege Mode!!!!! Its kinda fun and hilarious but at the same time it can be annoying as hell. The whole idea of the new mode is to escort some sort of Tank (Scorpion Tank) from point A to point B if you are the attacker and destroy it if you are the defender... Just like Team Fortress 2...
That sounds perfect... Right??? Well, its not!!!! Let me tell you a few pros and cons, you decide if the new game mode is functional or broken as hell!!!!
Pros...
1. Kinda fun...
2. Tons of sniping and run around...
3. The whole playing field is suppose to be centered around the moving Tank... In theory, it should be dynamic!!!!
4. Defending is really fun because you get to destroy the Tank, or at least disable it... Its a real challenge!
5. The Tank is so powerful, if you are the lucky guy who gets to control it... Get ready to score a lot of kills...
6. Its something new!!!!
Cons...
1. As a whole, the game mode is determined by the Tie Breaker Mechanic... I haven't seen a team reaching the final goal at all...Is there a way to win this fairly???
2. How far you get with the Tank doesnt seem to help, unless you reach the final goal...
3. Its very annoying when the enemy team spawns at a very close range to the Tank... They keep owning it over and over again...
4. It looks like some people dont really care about the Tank at all, they just want to get kills and CP... By the end of the match, the team with the highest score wins... Dear players, go and play Death Match!!!! lol!!!
5. It looks like some textures are missing, but!!! A nice patch can fix them all...
Siege Mode have the potential to be fun and probably one of the best game modes in Blacklight, unfortunately the whole Tie Breaker dependance is breaking it up... After all the fuzz about the tank goes away, you realize that something is not right in the game mode... Maybe the developers need to change the whole Victory factor, the team that gets the tank further into the enemy base, wins!!!!
