Regalia: Of Men And Monarchs – Tactical RPG Gameplay and Details at Gamescom 2016

Regalia: Of Men And Monarchs is a turn-based tactical RPG inspired by games like Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea. The game has a lot references to movies and other video games and a sense of humor.

Game Features

  • A Disgaea meets Persona formula with a western twist on the classic strategy JRPG genre.

  • A robust turn-based combat system with the right balance between complexity and fluidity.

  • An attractive look and feel, with hand-drawn 2D backgrounds and a soundtrack produced by Game Audio Factory (Endless Legend, Endless Space).

  • Light 4X elements - build your own village, conduct diplomacy, send your companions on expeditions for resources and treasures.

  • A huge cast of characters to meet, recruit and befriend through Social Links.

  • Lots of replayability with procedurally generated content, New Game+ and Ironman modes.

Another very interesting title that caught my eye at Gamescom was Vampyr, a dark action rpg from the developers of Life Is Strange. The game is set in 1918 London in the middle of Spanish flu pandemic. The protagonist named Jonathan Reid is a doctor who becomes a vampire and struggles between his thirst for blood and his oath to cure people. ARPG Vikings: Wolves of Midgard First 45 Minutes at Gamescom 2016

This year at Gamescom we had a chance to watch the first 45 minutes of the upcoming action RPG ARPG Vikings: Wolves of Midgard. Players will be able to choose between 5 weapons, each one has a different playstyle and a unique set of skills to help them defeat the mythical monsters. Boss encounters seems a lot of fun since each boss has different phases and require strategy in order to defeat them.

Vikings: Wolves of Midgard will be released in early 2017 for PlayStation4, Xbox One and PC.
