A substantial new video interview from the Machinima.com Inside Gaming blog is now online, in which American McGee delves into the themes explored in his upcoming action/adventure sequel Alice: Madness Returns.

Even though McGee is proud that fans worldwide have hailed his original game as "one of the truest interpretations of the Alice fiction that they've ever seen," the veteran developer has strongly hinted that Alice's next adventure will also be her last.

She's not horsin' around.
If is the last time that we do a big console, narrative-driven game, then that's okay. This can be a decent swan song. You know, the industry is changing. The way that games are being played is changing. Everything is moving online... for us, as a business, our studio, we have to change, and yet we got one last chance to do one big, giant, console, story-telling, linear game, and that'll be really fun...

We have the interview in full embedded below, but please note that YouTube content is not unmetered for Internode customers.
