Angels and Demons Mission Walkthrough for The Secret World

Angels and Demons is an investigation mission that you’ll be given while in Egypt. It’s in the Scorched Desert zone and is well worth completing as it does reward you with 22,500 pax and 4 tokens. You’ll find the start of this quest in Zhara. Below you’ll find a full walkthrough of each tier of the mission to help you out.

Tier 1

Find the building with a rather large wall with a big sign on it entitled “Plethron”. Basically what you’ll learn from it is the location of the Plethron office. This is where you need to go to progress the mission. You’ll be given this update:

Locate and Enter the Plethron Office

If you’re having a hard time finding the actual office building it will be located somewhere near the coordinates 592, 410. When you actually get to the office you’ll find out that the door is, indeed, locked. To reach the office you’ll need to head SW a bit and you’ll find another building with a staircase. Head up it and jump your way across the roof to get onto the office building (you’ll have to walk on small ledges to get to it) and you’ll find another entrance to the office on the 2nd floor roof.

Upon entering the building you’ll get your next mission update stating this:

Tier 2

Once you’re inside the office you’ll see that there’s a dead man propped against the wall. If you examine him you’ll get to check out his ID card which states his name, H. Glass, his position (Field Director) and his clearance level (GOLD-BUG). After seeing this head over to the PC in the room and access it. Click to get the hint for the password.

The password hint you’re given states:

My Surname is Common in Classic Literature. And My Clearance Level is the Key

This can send you on a wild goose chase if you don’t have much knowledge of old books. Basically it’s referring to a story written by the late Mr. Poe entitled “The Gold Bug” and the entire story is about decoding a encrypted message. There’s a specific decoding system just for this story and if you put “Gold Bug” into it you get the code 305 which just so happens to be the computer password.

At this point you’ll have a good bit of reading to do. If you want to quickly get through the process just hit 4 two different times and the mission will update again.

Tier 3

The final tier of the Angels and Demons investigative mission is a 3 part process. The first update you’re given will say this:

Locate the Shipping Warehouse

You need to find the warehouse. Just pull up your in-game map and you’ll see that it’s been highlighted for you. Once you reach the warehouse you’ll be prompted with further instructions telling you:

Access the Surveillance Footage

This is tricky. Watch the footage but pay close attention. The most important part is the sequence of tones you’ll hear when the agent is inputting a code into a box. Enter that same tone sequence on the pad to access the crate. The actual number sequence of the password is 2, 4, 3, 5.

Once you’ve entered the code you’ll gain access and within it you’ll find a note that has a very clear warning directed at you and your future safety if you continue to keep meddling in the business:

I know you are watching. I am watching too. The Plethron Director was not my first. Stay out of this unless you want to be a martyr. Nothing can stop us now.

The note is signed simply “- B”. So the person remains anonymous for now. But that’s it. That’s the end of the Angels and Demons quest. All you have to do now is phone in your success to receive your rewards.
