The Elder Scrolls OnlineBy: Tatzuk posted at Jun 08, 2012 4:05 pm
So here I am again. I welcome my all 100,000 readers to read my 2nd article. I guess that you all were very excited about that what I'm writing next. Now the waiting is over!
Ok let's stop this dreaming...
So, Skyrim arrived to us about 8 months ago (I can't believe that so long time have passed!). I'm glad I don't have to wait that anymore. But now we The Elder Scrolls fans have a new game to wait (ofc there's also Skyrim DLC Dawnguard). And it is The Elder Scrolls Online by Bethesda Networks and Zenimax Online.
Over 20 years The Elder Scrolls have been single player games (I don't count those multiplayer mods). And now there will finally be TES Online. I'm excited to see how they can transform series like The Elder Scrolls into multiplayer.
In The Elder Scrolls Online you can visit every place in Tamriel. I'm excited to see Elsweyr! But will they do The Elder Scrolls VI? I guess that they will not, because of TES Online :( I think so because in TES Online we see every province, and it would not be fun to adventure same places, if you know what I mean. But actually there is a little change they make TES: VI, because Tamriel isn't only island in Nirn (the planet), there's for example Akavir. I really would like to see Akavir in the future!
The graphics are better than in TES IV: Oblivion, but worse than in Skyrim. Although the graphics are worse than in Skyrim, they are enough for me. I've heard that the whole game is built around pvp, and there will be pvp fights where is even 100 players on one side. Sounds exciting!
But as I said in my 1st article: if we have to pay montly fees, it will be a bad thing. Very bad... It makes me feel sick to even think about it... :( I hate montly fees, because then I get a feeling like this: I've paid for this time, so I have to use my money as well as I can, and that means I have to play as much as I can! I rather pay for certain things that are in game, like cool mounts and weapons. Tell me your opinion about this!
TES Online takes place 1000 years before the events of Skyrim and coming of the dragonborn, and 800 before the gates of Oblivion. I'm not sure does going back in the time sound good, but anyway it's not a big thing.
Before Tamriel became an empire, there was 3 different factions:
The Daggerfall Covenant from the North West regions. That faction consists of Bretons, Redguards and Orcs.
The Aldmeri Dominion (it's also in Skyrim!) from the South and South West regions. That faction consists of Altmer (High Elf), Bosmer (Wood Elf) and Khajit.
The Ebonheart Pact the Northern and Eastern regions. That faction consists of Nords, Dunmer (Dark Elf) and Argonians.
So do you already know what side you are going to choose? I myself possibly choose The Aldmeri Dominion.
