Summoner Survey Says: Item Shop and UI Overhaul

Sweeping changes have been introduced pre-season 3 by Riot and one of the biggest has been their overhaul of the item system. At first glance, it looks a lot like the item system you'd see in DoTA 2 or HoN. I'm assuming Riot did this purposely to help players from those types of MoBA's transition into League of Legends a bit easier. Though it really is foreign to players like myself who have played LoL for many years and didn't like the other ones.
To be honest with my experience thus far, I've been enjoying the frustration that comes with re-learning something I had once thought I mastered. It's always nice to have a curve-ball thrown at you in a game that has become almost monotonous in design. It keeps your imagination thriving and lets you explore new options for playing the sa
Summoner Survey Says: Honor Points System

Summoners, how has the new honor system impacted your League of Legends experience, if at all? Has it helped you or others you know become a better person on the Fields of Justice? To what extent has it changed your interactions with other players during a match?
These are the first few questions that come to my mind when I wonder what changes the new honor system might have had on players. I personally feel that the honor implementation caused a slight improvement in the player base. In the beginning, it felt like there was more positive improvement in behavior, but has since returned to normal or stayed slightly improved. It's almost as if everybody has a new shiny toy and behaves until the brand new scent has dissipated and your left with what's tossed to the side as a player's att
The Glorious Guardian: The support/sustain role - Part 5 - The Virtues Trait Line
Welcome back to my series that takes a look into the Guardian profession as a support/sustain. This will be the last of the articles which covers the trait lines. This one in particular covers the Virtues trait line, in the order it's presented on the Guild Wars 2 wiki. Up next I'll be presenting articles that wrap up the Guardian profession, covering the offensive side of things. If you missed the previous articles, you can catch up with Part 1 – Weapon Skills, Part 2 – Utility Skills, Part 3 – Valor Traits, and Part 4 – Honor Traits.
The Virtues Trait Line
This trait line, in my opinion, is a very powerful set of abilities that enhance the skills unique to the Guardian. It can be used in both an offensive and defensive manner, but doesn't house very much healing ability. The first and arguably the most powerful stat you receive per point in this line is +1% to boon duration. Increasing the duration of your boons means more damage, healing, and protection for longer periods of tim
...The Glorious Guardian: The support/sustain role - Part 4 - The Honor Trait Line
Welcome back to my series that takes a look at the Guild Wars 2 Guardian profession as a support/sustain role. If you are just tuning in, you should check out my previous articles which cover various aspects starting with weapon skills in Part 1. Following that I covered utility skills in Part 2 and I began covering the trait lines with Valor in Part 3. This article will break down the Honor trait line which is the quintessential healing investment for the Guardian.
The Honor Trait Line
When you invest in this trait line you are going to directly boost your sustain by increasing your overall HP with +10 Vitality per point, while also giving you a very important +10 to healing power. Of course, at 30 points you'll gain a total of 300 points into each stat. I can't stress enough just how important this trait line is if you are looking to support your team. It contains some very strong traits that help you save downed allies and also grants some extra healing methods which you can neve
