Sigil Adstringo is the first dungeon you come to where you can skip a lot of trash. Compared to previous dungeons, this speeds up the completion process considerably. On the other hand, the bosses themselves are much tougher, creating a challenging instance. When looking at the map below, keep in mind that while you can kill all of the trash, you can go from boss to boss while skipping a majority of it. While this is true, keep in mind that killing mobs rewards experience, possible drops and also clears the path a lot better just in case there's a party wipe and players get split up on their way back to where you were. None of the trash mobs are really tough, they can just be a bit irritating since most groups are more focused on going after the bosses instead.
Boss 1 – Evignar
The first boss you come across is a large rock boss named Evignar. This is a pretty simple fight in which all you have to do is avoid his AoE's (he does a lot of them) and kill minions when they spawn. Keep an eye out for him to say “Come back from the dream!” as this is when he will both AoE and spawn his minions. They are quick and easy kills, and then you can focus on the boss again. Note that he does AoE's unrelated to his emote as well, but the one with the emote also spawns the minions.
Boss 2 – Harkyriss
Compared to the other bosses in this dungeon, Harkyriss is the easiest one to take down. While this is true, he's also the most irritating. Throughout this battle he will spawn minions that do ground AoE's (via red circles). The minions can be ignored as they will despawn, just be sure not to stand in any AoE. Aside from this, the boss does a lot of flying (with frontal AoE), dashing (with PBAoE) and running. The trick to taking him down easily is by not chasing him. He will always return to the boss so just hang around and wait for him. While it does increase the kill time on him, it also greatly increases your chances of being successful.
Boss 3 – Great Chief Tungkan
The first thing you'll notice about Tungkan is that he is beside another mob, Nuroppy, as well as many smaller minions. Nuroppy and the other minions should be your first target, and once they are down it's safe to go after Tungkan himself.
During this battle, the boss is pretty much tank-and-spank. He does have a couple of things to watch out for, however. The first of these is for an emote dealing with the Eg'thol Nalus. As soon as you see this, look for the large tower and destroy it as fast as possible (the easiest way being to tank the boss on top of it and AoE both down). This will heal Tungkan considerably, so it's important to be quick. Other than this, he will start spawning large minions later as well. It's easiest to take these down by just tanking them on the boss and using AoE's to help do as much damage as possible to all three.
Boss 4 – Skulregnath
Note: if you go west along the path from the last boss killed, Tungkan, you will find a teleporter. It takes you to where Skulregnath is.
The final boss in this dungeon, Skulregnath, is also the toughest. This is the one most groups end up having difficulty on, but once you get it down it's a pretty simple fight! We'll break this one down into things to watch out for:
-
The boss goes into an enraged state after 15 minutes. It's also said that you have 2 minutes from the time he gets to 20-40% (depending on who you ask) to take him down before he enrages, but generally the best way to handle it is to just try to kill him
-
When he says “Darkness warps you,” he will lay some goo all around him. If anyone steps in this, they will get a debuff that constantly tries to stun anyone around them. It's important that if anyone does end up with this debuff, they don't go near others. This is the easiest way to wipe a group, especially if someone runs to the healer and tank with it!
-
He does frontal AoE's in the form of fire. This will cause a burning DoT effect that ticks away at a decent amount of health. This can be cleansed so watch out for it. Players should be behind the boss though
-
He will spawn minions. These need to be ignored, but be aware that they do AoE's so you'll need to watch for them. To make these minions go away, be on the lookout for a tower in the middle of the battle area. Destroy this as soon as possible, and it will remove the spawned mobs with it
This battle is significantly more easy for Mystics than Priests when it comes to healers, because the HP orbs also remove the fire DoT (whereas a Priest will have to keep running to people to cleanse them). In the case of Mystics, it's a good idea to lay out a lot of orbs ahead of time, and make sure everyone knows to grab a health one as soon as possible if they take flame damage.
As for tanking this battle, as soon as you see the emote about darkness, quickly move away from the boss. Once you get the movements down well enough, you can tank this boss without even getting the stun debuff!
