The Sinestral Manor instance is the second one you come across within TERA. This has a minimum entrance level of 26 and can be entered either manually or by using the dungeon group matcher. It is a step up from the first instance, Bastion of Lok, and as such is a bit tougher. Throughout this dungeon, use the following map as a guide of where to go:

As you traverse through the dungeon, you will run across many different trash mobs. There really aren't any tricks you'll need to know for these, although many of them can be skipped (a lot of mobs are ranged, so as long as you're out of their range, such as by following walls, you can skip a lot). It is recommended that you do not skip mobs, though, as you will earn more experience by killing everything, as well as complete more of the repeatable quests!

Boss 1 - Kagaron

The first room you'll come across with a boss is #1, which houses Kagaron (who is considered as being optional but there's no reason not to kill him). In the room he's in you'll find adds, so just kill them and then you can go to his gate in the north west corner of the room. When you go inside, he'll rush outside and the battle will commence. Throughout the battle, Kagaron will be spawning adds. These will keep coming until the battle is over, and will always be preceded by him saying “Can't die...must not die!” These are easily killed with AoE's, so while they are up AoE the boss if possible so you can do damage to both it and the minions. It's also worth noting that during this battle he'll also say “Filth! How dare you touch me!” after which he will do a PBAoE, so as soon as you see the text you should back up to avoid it.

Boss 2 – Duchess Tirania

The second boss that's faced is Duchess Tirania. This is a pretty simple fight, although there are a lot of adds spawned during it. Once the boss is at around 75% health, she will start to go around the room, spawning groups of adds, Enchanted Blood Moppets. As they are spawning, you will want to focus on them, rather than the boss herself. These can add up quick, so take them down as fast as you can. She'll spawn multiple groups and then stop, after which she'll come back towards your group and you can finish her off.

Boss 3 – Duke Volperon

The third boss you will come across is Duke Volperon. In the room he's housed in, there will be some Zealous Disc Reapers. Pull these using ranged skills and then kill them before going for the boss himself! The reapers and the boss are not social with one another, although the reapers are social with each other.

The only thing you need to be aware of with this fight is that the boss does PBAoE's and that he will occasionally target a random player and start attacking them. For this reason, ranged is much better on this fight, although melee, when careful, can do fine as well.

Boss 4 – Malgarios

Malgarios is the final boss within the instance Sinestral Manor, and he is unleashed by destroying the Dementalith Generator at the back of the room that's marked on the map. To get to it, you'll need to clear all of the trash mobs first. It is also highly recommended that you set up a campfire if you need to rest and regain stamina, as the battle can be somewhat tough.

During this battle, Malgarios will be spawning spider minions. These do rolling maneuvers that can do a lot of damage, so it's important to not get hit by them. While you can avoid them in the room Malgarios spawns in, there is a much easier way. On the map at the beginning of this guide, look for the text “Safe Spot*” above where he spawns. These two rooms, when the boss is dragged to them (he will follow the tank), will not have the minions in them. This is because the boss will run off during the battle to spawn minions, however they will spawn in the first room, not these two. As a result, while in here you only have to face the boss himself, rather than dealing with him while trying to take down the minions as well.

As an alternative, you can also stay in the room. This requires a lot more skill, however, as you'll need to watch out for the spiders, while keeping up with the boss. Along with this, if someone is rolled over by more than one spider, the damage can be significant.

Note that even if you use the safe room method, you will still need to kill the spiders once the boss is down (the exit to the instance is in the back of the room Malgarios spawns in, and to get to it you will need to kill the spider minions). While they are on their own at this point, they can still be quite deadly so be careful!

Conclusion

If you're just looking for a fast run through the dungeon, you can skip boss 1, Kagaron, altogether and just move past him. It's highly recommended to go ahead and take him down, though, as he gives drops and the amount of time spent going up to him is pretty short. You can also save some more time by doing the final boss, Malgarios, the proper way, however it's significantly easier to use the safe room.
