I was viewing some Hellgate, Mythos, Skyrim, and Minecraft videos on YouTube when I chanced upon this video:

I'm a big fan of Hellgate and have tons of respect for Mythos (it being a precursor to Torchlight). I believe T3Fun is also making Hellgate 2. I think this is a good step for them to have an identity as an ARPG-specializing developer/publisher.

Hello everyone. Skyrim Creation Kit is now available for download. In addition to this, Bethesda also released a High-Definition Resolution Texture Pack. Also, an official mod by Valve has been made available for Skyrim--the mod adds the Space Core(thanks for the correction!) of Portal 2 to Skyrim.

Minecraft is a game that has been out for a long time. I despised its low resolution graphics and the absence of curves and slopes in the game.


One day though, I read in an article online that Notch said that one of his inspirations for making the game are roguelike games. So, for the people familiar with me, you know that I am an addict when it comes to diablo-like games, which can be considered as far descendants of roguelike.


So the other day, I think it was either Friday or Saturday, I tried Minecraft, v1.1 survival mode, modded with LB's 256x photorealistic texture pack. Boy was I mesmerized. It gave this Morrowind-feel of exploration, resource management, and content creation--add to the fact that I love creating my own things. The best thing about the game is that it doesn't force any goal for me--I always find myself setting my own goals for myself. It's either I'll be starting the [in-game] day by mining, or preparing a farmland, or harvesting my own crops, or preparing fenc...

Personally, I think I won't be able to react the first time I see a Hellgate. Haha. I feel that I'll be only to move once my body sees a demon and realizes that I am in danger. The sad thing is by that time I might be dead. :(

Hello everyone! Here is another video from my favorite MMO, Hellgate Global. Enjoy!

How far would you go to get the best loot? 

The video suggests that players try Hell Mode. Hell Mode is like the Ultra Difficulty option for Hellgate. This mode is a high risk high reward type of difficulty for players since they might not even have the capability to survive the mobs--but if they do, the promise of chance for better loots will be available for the players.

Will you go this far and play the game at its highest difficulty setting (as of the moment) just to get the best loots?

As for my personal opinion: As long as I have my friends with me, yes. If I am alone, I'd rather settle with the easier difficulty options. :)
