Ragnarok DS Review

Most of the time, you will use your stylus to play the game.  This is a very handy one and still give you feeling about playing the same game that gave you sleepless night almost a decade ago.

The story is “standard save the world from apocalypse by defeating the ultimate villain one”.  And some of you might find that the story is not that good because some oddities appear during the gameplay.  What’s more is that you have to revisit some place over and over again because of the story driven nature of the game.  And I know some people won’t like this.

There are also some problems with translations, but I don’t really care about it.  But for you who really pay attention to the language structure and grammar, just be prepared, this game is not that perfect.

Once again, even with some downsides, for me, this game is still a fun one to play.  A pretty quick levelling compare to the online, a good adaptation to the stand alone concept, and some memorable type of background music.  Gravity has done a pretty good job, and they made a good cash cow from their popular online game.  I know that the publisher and developers of this game are XSeed and GungHo, but my point is that the original developers, Gravity, must have some kind of agreements with these 2 companies to port this game to DS.  Maybe other online game can consider this kind of strategy.
