Previous SquareEnix MMOs

SquareEnix has been the early starters when it comes down to MMOs, they are currently making an effort to get Final Fantasy XIV and Dragon Quest X off the ground.

Final Fantasy XI

Status: Still Running

Of course, other then the current letdown of Final Fantasy XIV, Final Fantasy XI was SquareEnix's first attempt which was successful enough to spawn expansion packs. The success which as led them to believe that Final Fantasy XIV would reach the same success.

Fantasy Earth Zero

Status: Sold to Gamepot / North America: Shut Down

Fantasy Earth Zero was a 50 vs 50 PvP battlefield, you got to gather resources, build structures and attack the enemy, trying to destory their base. The game make the battlefield link together on the world map to see how the whole world processed. It was rare to see any game like this of it's time.

America had it own hosting however due to the lack of players, it was shortly shut down.

Front Mission Online

Status: Shut Down

Front Mission Online, thought you never saw this coming or you shouldn't be surprised. Front Mission is a techie heaven. Front Mission Online was only released in Japan and it allowed you to pliot wanzers from the third person view. It was short lived as the servers been taken offline.
