I thought I'll write up this article (after getting into a few run in with MMOsite staff and finding myself getting put back into my cage to write up articles again).

I think Korean MMOs are losing their appeal to the point I believe that if there players had the SKILL to make the MMOs, they would have more fun doing that.

I've tired and visited many MMOs that were created by a Korean company. With the expection of Nexon (whom forum is clean and friendly as Blizzard's). I found every forum to be a complete mess. I found that the volunteer mods don't know what to do. I say this because I found countless of unnecessary bannings. (Air Rivals, Drift City EU, etc).

I think players would rather lose and get banned in a thread and a forum when actually play the game. I also found that if players doesn't choose that path, they'll end up finding a glitch. I found players would rather do that and not tell the mods about it only to get banned.

I further learned that after a while, when a new Korean MMO gets released (I'm talking way back in 2007/8), that excitement, the major excitement I remembered fades a bit. I remember mods and players did what the MMOs were made for. I see now, it's players against mods, players against devs and mods stuck in the middle.

I wouldn't go the full hog to say that they're completely bad. I've played Drift City for years, only to find that it wasn't an MMO, it was more of an artistic project to popularizate the Cel Shading. I'm still staying tuned. I think it's complete unfair on the players and moderators, if not entirely communities having to endure the lack of information and fun from Korean developers at this day of age. I also found that Korean cel shading/toon is called Manhwa not Manga.

I think I'm going to see the end of Korean MMOs and I wouldn't know what to do about that.

I'm more interested to see what Chinese devs made of Zentia and America dev made of Need for Speed World and I'm seeing more activity there. I also want to mention that I think RayCitySEA is the most under-rated MMO, you can find on the internet. I think some new Korean made MMOs will be popular, but it's something I have to wait and see.
