Blizzard introduced a new program, called Guild Mentoring. On specific servers, one guild per faction will be chosen to participate in it.
They will become mentors for players who haven't reached Level 85 yet. The aim is to introduce rookie players, how a guild functions.
Here is a compilation of F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) about the Guild Mentoring Program
![]()
• What is a Guild Mentoring Program?
The program identifies guilds on selected realms (for the realm list, scroll below) to act as mentors for new and low level players (below Level 85).
• For how long will the program run?
Four months. The period starts once guilds become selected and notified.
• Is there a certain criteria for being selected as a mentoring guild?
Guild must be located on one of the selected realms. They must be willing to commit to the program for the four month guild mentoring participation period. Guilds must be at least level 6 and have active membership and finally they must agree to have their guild name changed for the participation period. The guild names will be reverted once the period is over, free of charge of course.
• How many guilds can participate?
Only one guild per faction on each realm.
• What does my guild need to do in order to volunteer?
Send an application to wowguild@blizzard.com (Americas & Oceania) with the following information:
Current guild and guild leader name; current realm and faction of the applying guild; current guild level and number of members; guild leader's real name & phone number (for internal use only); brief description of the mentoring guild.
Applications are being accepted for a period of two weeks. After that, there will be an official announcement on the forums with a list of selected guilds.
• On what realms will the guild mentoring program be available?
Americas: Aggramar, Azuremyst, Blackhand, Cenarius, Dalaran, Doomhammer, Garona, Garrosh, Ravencrest, Sen'jin, Shu'halo, Ysera
Oceanic realms: Dath'Remar, Saurfang
What are the rewards for participation?
• MVP Status on the official forums for the guild leader and recruitment officer.
• Guild Member private forum access
• Recognition for your guild as being participants in the program
What about Europe?
The same as above applies to Europe, with the exception of the mail where you send your applications. It's community-EN@blizzard.com
European realms: Thunderhorn, Azuremyst, Lightbringer, Aggramar, Stormrage, Aszune, Thrall, Alleria, Malygos, Arygos, Hyjal, Dalaran, Eversong.
