Mike Morhaime the CEO of Activision Blizzard today reported that data from Blizz's internal network have been stolen.

The security team has found an unauthorized and illegal access into the internal network at Blizzard.

At this time, there's no evidence that financial information such as credit cards, billing addresses, or real names were compromised.

Some data have been illegally accessed, including a list of email addresses for global Battle.net users, outside of China. For players on North American servers the answer to the personal question and information relating to Mobile and Dial-in Authenticators were also accessed.

Even though password encryption provides a high level of security, it's vital you change your password anyways.

For North American players: Please click this link to change your password.

The obtained information however are not enough to gain access to Battle.Net accounts.

The whole article can be viewed on the official US site on Blizzard.com. Click here for access.

Important Security FAQ can be found here.

In addition, all NA players will be able to update their Security Question within the next days.
