The way I look at this beta is, that this is not a REAL beta test.

A beta test consists of people who are chosen because of their rig, may it be super powerful (so they have people testing at max graphic) and weak (so they can find a definite minimum requirement). People who have beta tested before are great for such things also. Applying for a beta test should be like applying for a job. If you meet the requirements the company is looking for, then you will be accepted. If not, then you will have to try again and wait until that spot as a tester is open again.

A number of companies are making this same mistake Bioware for example. SWTOR beta testers were chosen at random (even though you filled out a little survey). Bioware... one of the biggest companies in gaming even did this. EA did the something with Battlefield Heroes where the people that got into beta were chosen at random instead.

So I am pretty upset as well with the whole Forsaken World beta but here are some tips for people who actually want to try and help the game and not just play early.

1) Keep a pad of paper and writing utensil next to you at all times. Write down everything you do that has odd/unintended consequences for an accurate report and post the reports. Even better if they provide client side log for further details. Be sure to use the proper format.

2) You will likely crash often during testing. Patience is a virtue here and is part of the process. Remember, this is a test wherein you work for the company in providing feedback and making the game better. This is not an opportunity to learn secrets of the game for when it goes live.

3) Every step of the way, you actually are doing your job if you make the game crash. Report what you were doing in a post. Start with the character creation screen. Try multiple combos of clicks and keystrokes, combos of creation options, watch the graphics, tr

I used to play World of Warcraft, I own everygame they have release except SC2. But damn am I tired of spam. My e-mails are filled with "account changes" that I know no one made on my account but they either have someone in their company trying to steal account info (I am 95% sure this is not the case) or someone found a way to get everyone who has an account through blizzards email and now spam the hell out of me with these anoying messages?

So tell me what is Blizzard doing about it? NOTHING, this has been going on for at least 6 months now where on all my e-mail accounts are just spammed with spoof-mail.

Sick and Tired

So people who are following have noticed that I have been quite for about a month, it's not that I have fallen off of the face of the earth it's just that i've been looking for something to write about.

So a few days back I got the sad notice that I was not accepted into the Forsaken World beta. I was recently just on the website for s/g and I went to my account to redeem a new beta key for FW (shifty character arn't I) and I noticed that it said accepted. Regoice! here in a day or two as long as this isnt a tease you can all expect a video of Forsaken World from me.

Note just like with Vindictus it will not be a full review seeing as it is only beta, but im sure people would love to see more than just these pictures they give us.

So after playing Vindictus for a while I decided to pick up Warhammer Online again. So my buddies and I were playing and we dicided to take on one of the Hidden boss raids in Tier 1 of Destruction.

I appologise for the swear in there I thought it was all covered but things slip.

So as I said I did a quick look at Vindictus, I reaveal none of the quests or storyline for those who are looking for a spoiler free this is it.

I cover a bit of the combat and the interface, some of the cool moves you can do as Lann.

So I have decided I am going to do two reviews on Vindictus,

I am going to do a first look review in OBT and a final review once it goes into full release.

I have decided after some of hte issues today and yesterday with the OBT of Vindictus that I feel the only way I can properly give a review on the game is after it is fully released after OB. This is because in OB they are still working out all of the kinks in the game and giving a review on half a broken game is not fair to devCAT. And the fact that it is how it is at the moment is not devCAT's fault nor Nexon NA it is just that Nexon is still getting the proper patches and such.

If people are intrested I will do a review on Mabinogi.

Look for a review on Vindictus about a month after it goes full release.

Here we finially have it, the first part of my MMOSITE.COM Top 10 list with Atlantica Online.

Graphics: 9

The graphics are a little dated now but they are still very pretty. They payed a lot of attention to detail in the character models the only thing the game suffers in as far as graphics is the terrain. Some of the things look very blocky and rough, but over all it looks good.

Gameplay: 9

The combat is something that is not seen in MMORPG's today, it definatly gives you a classic RPG feel which I liked. Because  of this it is very unique and that is something that is rare in this day in age. The auto-move is very lazy and kind of odd I don't know if I really like it or not but it is unneeded in my o

So I have decided to fill in time and make this more intresting, I am going to review the MMOG's that you the people on the site have deemed the best games out at the moment. You can expect a full review and a video starting this afternoon after class.
