Mass Effect 2 PS3 trailer

A couple of days ago, Bioware released this trailer for the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2. What's interesting is the fact that they've waited this long to bring the game to Sony's console.  I would have expected this version to be at launch, but it seems there was an agreement with Microsoft to hold off on the PS3 version of ME2 until now. 

Whatever the reason, Bioware is saying that the PS3 version of the game isn't a simple port, but a redone version that will take advantage of the PS3's beefy graphics acceleration.  I should hope so, since we've had to wait this long.  Word has it that the lackluster demo fans of the series have been playing on PSN won't hold a candle to the actual game in terms of visual quality.  We'll find out soon, since the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 will be available at retailers on January 18th.  Until then we have this gorgeous trailer to tide us over.
