The final patch for FFXIV has arrived and players are currently standing outside awaiting the end of the world.

Closing in on the 7th Umbral Era story-line, the new and last patch has added apocalyptic weather and eerie music (A remixed and more darker version of the game's theme song "Answers") which is played in every single zone, to add onto that, monsters now ravage towns and beginner areas, leaving the players dead or running/fighting for their lives, even the final boss of the story-line makes an appearance!

In previous news, players were told that the red moon, Dalamud is to impact Eorzea on the 11th, which will be a dynamic event that all players will witness as "The End" is inevitable, afterwards the client will be shut down for good and "A Realm Reborn" will rise in it's place.
