LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Shel Dorf, the founder of Comic-Con International in San Diego, one of the biggest comic book conventions in the world, has died at age 76, a spokesman said on Wednesday.

Dorf died Tuesday at a San Diego hospital, where he spent much of this year being treated for diabetes.

The first convention in 1970 was attended by only about 300 people, but this year Comic-Con International attracted more than 125,000 for what has become a gathering of comic lovers, movies and TV fans, and pop culture followers worldwide.

A fan of comic strips, Dorf for a time worked in comics and he was friends with many comic artists, including Jack Kirby. He created the comic convention with the help of friends, said David Glanzer, a spokesman for the convention.

"Shel had notable foresight in not only believing these people needed some public acknowledgment, but that this truly was an American art form t

There are always a lot of MMOs out there for gamers to play, whether they are casual or hardcore. Some of those games, though, seem like they may have been designed for a broader audience…perhaps, a console audience? Well, this is a list of MMO games that should be on game consoles but aren’t. And just so you all know, All Points Bulletin by Realtime Worlds is not on this list because it’s already planned for release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 after the team sorts out the PC version and fix post-release bugs. So, with that out of the way, let’s get to the Top 5 MMOs that should be on game consoles starting from least-likely to most-likely.

No. 5: GunZ: The Duel

Also known as GunZ: International to the non-Korean community, GunZ: The Duel is a Korean-based third-person shooter by Maiet Entertainment. The game allows play

People who love  the Wall-E movie, HANDS UP! Finally, images and video of the real life version of the WALL-E robot from the Pixar/Disney summer animated feature in action. This photo and video was taken on an excursion in Los Angeles. WALL-E is going to be huge as even this version is too cute.

See the video on Vimeo! (or below the cut) Almost 20,000 people have already seen the video. That’s cool. Btw, this is the version that is supposed to eventually make it’s way to schools, children’s hospitals and theme parks.
