Cabal Online Nation War (THE PAIN BEGIN)

CABAL Online has become one of the biggest games in the Philippines ith more than 50,000 concurrent users online. With the Nation Wars coming, players are sure to grind more, level more and basically be online more.

After the fall of the Sage Tower, the seven sages were disrupted. Among the fallen seven sages, Capella and Procyon decided to pursue their principles and established two different nations — named after themselves — with their followers in Nevareth. The nations come into conflict with each other because of their opposing principles. And now they choose war as the final resolution.

If you want to join in on the chaos that is Nation War, you will need to complete the Tower Of Sage Divide quest at Level 95. This quest can be done by talking to Captain Mark at the Group Camp in Fort Ruina. Once you accomplish this, you will be asked to choose a Nation.

Nation Wars are held in the Nation War Server — Tierra Gloriosa. One hundred players from each Nation strive for dominance by overtaking outposts guarded by powerful guardians, killing the other nation’s warriors, and ultimately taking control of the other Nation’s capital. Entering the Natio

Mortal Kombat 9 to be M-Rated ( Hyperviolence)

Mortal Kombat fans, are you still even out there? If so, the bunch of you left should be happy to hear this little bit of news. After the little experiment that was the Teen-rated Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Mortal Kombat series creator Ed Boon has confirmed on his Twitter stream that the part nine (!) of the hyperviolent fighter will be more of a return to form, and will feature more of the same brutal thrills we have come to recognize the series for. Writing in rather crude twitter-speak, Boon has noted that they are in the middle of motion capturing some rather grotesque new fatalities for the game’s next entry.

“Motion capturing special moves & fatalities today….they are kind of sick !!,” “Carlos & Rick O. doin some kool fatalities. I hope we aren’t taking these too far. :(,” Boon writes. And finally, to top it off, he answers back to an administrator from fansite The Realm of Mortal Kombat, “@McCarron U r absolutely right. People want an M-rated MK….dammit we will give them an M-rated MK.” And that about confirms it. I didn’t think that Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe was that bad of a game, but

Man Murdered Over Counter-Strike Row

A 30-year-old in the philippines was stabbed and killed late last weekend over an argument stemming from the (ever) popular PC shooter, Counter-Strike. The victim apparently exchanged disparaging words with the suspect after losing a bet, escalating to the aforementioned act of violence.

Really sad to see violence over petty incidents such as betting over videogames still happening. Though highly unrelated to the crime, it’s even sadder to see media outlets still blaming videogame violence for these crimes; and though I could rant and fume all day about how disproportionally regressive this style of reporting is, the saddest part is that most of our local media outlets won’t ever listen. However, I’m not at all illustrating an example with the article below, in fact I thought the author did a great job on presenting the bare facts without resorting to sensationalist generalization.
