iPod MMOS Are No Good

I recently took the time to try the newest iPod touch mmo which was Dark Legends. I'm not sure why I thought it would be any good... Maybe it was once again mmorpg.com's not so truthful reporting. Let's just say this game sucked. Actually all of the "Legends" games sucked. Pocket Legends and Star Legends sucked too. I have no idea what the hype is about when it comes to Spacetime Studios and their games. I've played much better iPod touch games.

IMO The World of Magic, isn't too shabby. It's still not to par to a PC mmo, but it's okay (it's better than Maple Story though... well that may not be saying much). The graphics are defaintly pointed at people who enjoy cute games and that isn't always a bad thing.

Order & Chaos is hailed as being the iPod's "World of Warcraft," and I can totally see that. My problem is that it disonnects so much that I can't truly enjoy it. I know it's not my internet either. They did make a Facebook version for it, but for some reason (unknown to me) they shut it down. Of course it was made by Gameloft who is noterious for ripping off other games and making it into their own iPod games with different names.

Elemental Knights Online wasn't too bad, but it was a little too cute for me. The gameplay was alright though and it was much better than any of the "Legends" games. I really don't know why Spacetime Studios is getting so much hypes for these games when there are many better iPod games out there... Maybe everyone but me loves there games.

Anyways, I don't think there will be a truly good mmo for the iPod touch/iPhone anytime soon. I am a little fearful at how Arcane Legends (Spacetime Studios next iPod touch/iPhone game) will turn out. I can only hope it will be better than the last three previous games they've made that are solely there to suck as much money out of your wallet as possible.
