In the last Stress Test Event, the ArenaNet team again gave us the Beta Finale Event that was started few minutes before the scheduled Stress Test was about to end. We are just fortunate enough that the Developers have extended the event for another hour so we could enjoy the said event that seemed to fail in the previous beta weekend event. Players of every world was asked to gather at the Plains of Ashenford in Ascalon, the homeland of the Charr race. This event is considered as a World Event whereas players are being corrupted if they'll be killed by branded monsters.

These branded monsters and corrupted players are into occupying every available waypoints in the area. As the number of corrupted players and waypoints grow, the event bar also progresses but unfortunately we weren't able to complete the 100% corruption at least in our world. It was announced that there'll be a 7 hour stress test on May 14, 11am-6pm PDT. Since only those who pre-purchased the game are given the access to the said test, we decided to bring up a livestream for you guys. Forbes, once again had a write up and interview about Guild Wars 2 and this time it is with ArenaNet Founder Mike O'Brien. Here are some of the quotable statements from the interview

“We’re in it to win it this time,” said O’Brien. “We were number two to World of Warcraft with Guild Wars, now we want to beat them. We’ll be satisfied when the Guild Wars 2 is the most successful MMO. I think we have something unique here and players are going to see it and understand why dynamic events are a way better content model than people have experienced before in online worlds. Word-of-mouth will get people to understand that we really are doing something new and different. The sky’s the limit once this game is out. Online worlds have a networking effect. It was already announced that the first Guild Wars 2 Beta weekend that is not under NDA will be happening on Friday, April 27, at noon PDT (GMT-7) and ends on Sunday, April 29, at 11:59 p.m. PDT (GMT-7). As per the Pre-Purchase announcement you will have a guaranteed access to this coming Beta Weekend if you have pre-purchased the game. Also, by luck you can also be chosen if you did signed up on the beta signup last February.

The good news is, we’re not bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). So we are free to take screenshots, shoot video, blog, tweet, write, or compose a rock opera to share your Guild Wars 2 experience with the world.
