The auction for the Crystal Palace Space Station in Planet Calypso has sold for 3,300,000 PED. This virtual game currency when converted to US dollars is $330,000. The winning bidder was Buzz “Erik” Lightyear. The space station provides an income stream of revenue from any purchases made there plus hunting on the space station.

To date, EA subsidiary DICE has been synonymous with the Battlefield series of military first-person shooters. This holiday season, the studio is branching out with the release of Mirror's Edge, a first-person action-adventure game that casts players as an acrobatic courier leaping across rooftops in the employ of a contraband messenger service.
Today EA and DICE announced an exact release date for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of the game, saying they would ship out November 11. A PC version of the game is also in development, but it won't be released until "later this winter," according to the publisher.
Gamers interested in seeing how the Mirror's Edge first-person perspective works in practice will soon be able to check out a downloadable demo from the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store. The demo will include a tutorial, a taste of the single-player story mode, and for those who obtain a code by preordering the game, a time trial mode....
